WA nw shop for Tuneup?

my 90 gtu has been acting up alot lately. first the alternator belts snapped several times so my dad got the alternator replaced recently since it kept snapping belts. but it sat for a year, its gone pretty gutless. when you put the pedal to the floor there's no acceleration but if you feather it just right it accelerates. cant get it over 5k rpm above 3rd gear. but... anyways if someone can't help me figure out whats wrong. I need a good place to take my car for a tune-up. i've looked at the list of shops but i know there's gotta be more. thank you.

my dad keeps taking my car to mechanics that don't really know rotary and they told him it was the idler air control valve or something like that.. and its 6-700$ everywhere we get the estimate.

i'm located in the southwest area of washington. I took my car to local mechanics today and got it selfdiagnosed and i have to replace the throttle positioning sensor, the air intake sensor and the oil pressure sensor. hoping thats it. If anyone can help me get a throttle positioning sensor for a good price it'd be helpful.. gotta spend 300 locally to get it.

Damn. Try finding a used one (test it before you buy it) for around $60.

If you were closer, we come highly recommended .

Having to feather the throttle sounds like the grounding wire on top of the engine [if it's corroded then the secondary fuel injectors wont come on - I had this issue 6mo after I got my car]

You have to take off the upper intake manifold, dynamic chamber, and throttle body [these 3 come off as one unit] but it's a little daunting the first time..

If you can drive down to FD3S you really should, they're great! ^_^

So the injectors might not be firing? would self diagnosis give me a code for it? because all my codes were for sensors.

If I can make it to FD3S Engineering i will Seems highly reputable and it scares me bringing my fc to people that don't know much about rotary.

Still needing that throttle positioning sensor.

Yea, I'm pretty sure that your secondary injectors aren't firing, the symptom is exactly the same as mine [except I had an auto so the RPMs were a bit lower].

You'd have to ask one of the guys at FD3S if the codes can detect the ground being bad or not.

Yours is an S5 and mine's an S4, but I'm pretty sure that that ground still has the same effect.

I read in another thread that you can get the s5 turbo model throttle position sensor and switch out the connectors and it saves money. sounds risky though kinda
