Thanks. If I wanted a Corvette, I would have bought one. I fell in love with FD body lines in '92, and purchased one new in June of 93 (same color combination). This is my second FD and after the motor went south I decided to try something different. I don't expect people to 100% agree with my decision to go with a V8 (that's your right as an individual... at least here in the U.S.), but being this is a car forum I would at least expect people to respect the effort that went into building this car. Just like I respect the thought and effort you are putting into to your current FC build, even though I'm never been a big fan of the FC body style.
Good luck with your build and I look forward to seeing it in person one day.

Your FD is *Beautiful* your V8 install is VERY clean looking, and from everything I know VERY well thought out and executed. ^_^ [Naturally your car would spank mine in any competitive circumstance.. Except maybe using the most fuel, I think I might be able to win that one... lol]
It's just that.. It's not something Mazda would've even considered doing, since these cars were built around the 13B, so it doesn't seem right given that.
But, I have nothing against you or your car; I like to see you show up at the meets [sorry I haven't formally introduced myself in real life]. You take better care of your FD than I've taken of my FC. So I'm glad that you own it and keep it. ^_^
[PS......... I'd think it was really awesome if someday you felt like REWinding the engine... hehe ]

to all comments made to silverbullet- I think its sacrilege to put a V8 in a rx7, that being said, i have to say i was drooooooooooooooooooling over his car at the meet, i dont care who you are or what you think about them, when you see it in person, the brakes, the interior, the exterior, it kinda kills anything under the hood. my only thing was i miss the sound when he drove away..... However it was the nicest god damn corvette i have ever ******* seen!!
But seriously, its georgous and deserves all the respect in the world... Rotary or not... (but i also love v8's as well as rotarys so i am a guilty of that....
Love this thread, some REALLLLLLLY nice cars here!!!

Allow me to emphasis what [I think] Nytrate and I want to say:

That is why i see its absurd to put a V8 In it. In my opinion it ruins the car. Yes it may be a awesome looking RX7, but her heart is not of a 7, its of a GM. Unfortunately. My build is very unique, and I have gone may ways with it. I dont expect anybody to like it or care really anything about it. I just liked to show it to everybody.

93Silverbullet - While alot of people will down you for the swap, I'm an old school hotrod guy. Much as I love rotaries, I love to see a well done set of wheels most! You did a fabulous job there! I don't have to agree with your decision on motors to appreciate the time and effort that obviously went into that ride. That is a sexy beast! Ignore anyone that pans your car. People put rotaries into other cars all the time too, can't please em all, just please yourself. Taking the time to do it right is the important thing and you obviously did that.
KUDOS to you.
Codeblue- WOW!! Those are some sweet lookin FB's my man! Wonderful job. I'm jealous as hell.
This thread id FULL of awsome rides! Props to all of you!

This is a thread about N/W pictures. No one is looking for negative comments, just pictures. I would appreciate it if everyone that has any biased negativity to just say nothing at all...
That said, just think about the Performance of a LS1 or LS6 powered RX. Corvette engine in RX Package. Yum. Did you ever get it dyno'd at Forged? Just curious.. I think Josh182k or whatever put down like ?323 Hp 349 Tq? last year, I managed a 230 Hp 191 Tq with my 13bt Hybid at 7-9 psi, it's more now...
Enough said.

<_< To be fair, I don't like swaps in any car, unless it was an option for the same line of car or the same "type" of engine [ex: an L28 into a 240z is good, but a 1MZ-FE into the 240z wouldn't be... But an RB26DE into the 240z would be ok - still a straight-6s and extra Ok because it's Nissan, they very well could've done this if it were available at that time.. Esp given that the RB series evolved from the L series...]
Anyway, check this out.. It's the project that almost was:

Stock rims are the ****. thats all I've ever had. I've never put aftermarket rims on any of my cars. I do like some rims though. I'm just too cheap to spend big bucks on somthing my car already has. If I have to go larger, or come accross a deal I can't pass up, I'll get rims. But probably still rock stock rims on the street. Looks good painted. I've been debating painting mine bud didn't know how it would look with the white. I like it.

Engine bay pic is of the old engine about 5 years ago before it blew. Then of course new engine pics. The engine was done by Rob at Pineapple. It's a large street port with stage 3 oil mods, and a s5 rear plate. The plates were also shimmed back for extra room. It's an engine capable of 500hp. Due to a shipping error this engine is not reman but all brand new, a nice bonus.
