Next Steve Kan NW tuning session
Tweak, are you going to take the lead on this one?
Bingo.
Zero Drift: Steve is also into tuning Subarus so I am sure that he has heard of the software.
Dyno thoughts: It does not make sense to pay additional fees for an AWD dyno for just one car. If you can get an AWD dyno for the same price more power to you. Make sure that the dyno is an eddy current dyno. If it has steady state tuning as well that would be nice. It really makes the cars a lot more driveable on the street.
I am in. Anytime. Early next year would be preffered.

Well, I was just assuming that you were tired of doing it and I was going to jump in and try one myself.
But if you want to take the controls, by all means do so! You already know how Steve works and such, I would prefer you did if you are not busy and such.

Just got back from camping at lake Easton with my g/f. Was fun, but very hot. Anyways, anybody else have friends or know of people that might want to be tuned?

cool cool, what ECU you running TooMuch4You? Just curious.
Ok, well we need to get a few more people, cause 1/2 the people will flake out for the deposits and such.
I'm pretty sure Steve would rather stay a whole weekend and tune 10 cars, instead of just 1 day tuning 5.

I'm a semi iffy as well. Not getting the RX-7 so I'm working on the Mazdaspeed Protege again. I'm down if and only if I manage to get my ECU install done. It's rather complicated and might take me longer than a month to get installed.

I'm running a PowerFC. The base map that Steve sent me before the first tuning session is working out ok for now, but its configured to dump fuel as soon as I hit more than a couple PSI of boost so its a bit of a drag.... In other words, I'm about as serious as a heart attack about getting tuned asap.
I'm even considering doing the San Jose tuning session the weekend of the 13-15th provided I can get a spot and have enough funding together by then.

Well .. unless we get some more activity, I'm not sure we are going to have enough people for even a 1 day event... Bump: Just in case some people didn't see this thread.

What if we push this out until next spring. I know it'd give alot of the guys who aren't ready enough time to finish. For those of us who are pressed for a tune, perhaps it'd be best to get a temp tune by a local tuner to get by until then.
I agree. I have to spend another $500 or so on parts for my custom ECU install for my car, then from there I'm not even sure how long it will take me to install, hopefully no longer than a week as I'd rather not be out a car for longer than that So meh. I'm down for anytime after late November probably, as long as he is able to tune the piggyback I'm using, which isn't 100% for sure.

get a temp tune by a local tuner - u couldn't pay me enough to let them touch my car.
Anyways ... hmmm craps. Ok we will let this ride a bit longer. See what happens.
I will have to ask Steve if he is willing to do a single day 5 person trip or not. If we can get 5 people solid that is.

Tweak I think after the first of the year would be your best bet to get enough interest to get Steve out here. Ideally you'd like to get plenty of time for people to prepare.
On another note, you may want to consider contacting Ralph with Groundzero (although I'm hearing they closed their doors) to get a tune locally if you're desperate for a GOOD pro with a rotary. Portland is as local as you'll get for a good tune

He will need 5 new people to make the trip. One day is optimal, it allows Steve to have one day of "vacation". Not to mention it saves us on Dyno time.
Tweak, I recommend that you go back through my old threads. You might find a few stragglers. There were quite a few people that could not make the deadline.
I gave a 5 month window for the process. In other words if we were to set a date to day the earliest that I would have a tune session would be end of Jan.

oh wow ok, I did not know he preferred 1 day. There is still a good chance we could find 5 people that would like to be tuned asap. I will keep this open, and I am going to message the people that missed the last one and see if we can pick up some extra.
