New Engine Bay Look "Soon"
In time for the BBQ for those who saw my turbo engine at the recent Izzy's meet will see some things totally different. Because of my 21st birthday today I took my car down to Extreme Auto Salon in Federal Way. I know of their work since seeing their shop car at HIN. Also I personally know one of the mechanics.
Anyway, as some of you know I havnt had my intercooler piping set up yet. Extreme Auto Salon is going to fab. a v-mount setup with aluminium piping. I'm also having an Aeromotive FPR installed with nice ss lines and A/N fittings. New ss lines and A/N fittings for the oil. 2nd to last an aftermarket 2ndary fuel rail. Last of all suspension, which will unclude toe links for the sway bars, tokico Illumi. 5 ways, racing beat springs, rear adj. cambers, and Cusco front adj. camber plates.
I'll be heading down tomorrow to check up on things and to give them my electric fan for install as well, forgot to mention that. I'm going to take pictures and hopefully having somthing up by tomorrow afternoon.
Peace,
-Walt

You mean no more "dual intercooler" setup, well now you will onlly be half as fast. Cool I hope everything works out like you want. Let me know what you think of their work, as I live fed way.

If your on 320th coming from the freeway, exit #143. Take a left onto Pacific HWY. Keep going straight down untill you see on your right AUTO SALON in big letters. They should have their shop car parked out front. Like a corvette red almost 240.
Happy Birthday...
People at extream auto salon are cool. They were going to lower my car with the racing beat lowering kit at one time, but chickened out...lol Very nice guys that work there though.

I have heard nothing but good from them also. Glad to see that you are going for the v-mount setup. I think that the advantages are far greater than any other IC/Rad placement that I have seen.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I went over to the shop on wed., but they were just going to start the v-mount project. No photos then because i had to leave early. Hopefully tomorrow ill have some photos.
I have one photo for tonight. My other pair of cusco camber plates came in. The ones in the back are for sale. I originally bought them without the spacer that you see in the middle. I'm sure somewhere in Japan their are a pair of lonley spacers.

So did you get a whole new intercooler aside from the greddy one thats in it? or what? Are they changing the way the greddy one mounts? I dont quite understand what they are doing aside from making piping for the intercooler that is already there, and the cooler that i see in your pics doesnt appear to be v mount.

Yea, they have had my car since Augest 10th, sigh. I really am not sure what the hold up is other than having other customers.
I'll be using the existing intercooler. They are going to cut and mount the instake so the nozle faces the engine.

They had welded on a few support braces and replaced that core support with a roll bar piece. Theirs a brace in the very front just behind the bottom most portion of my front bumper. This hold the radiator in place on the bottom. Then their is another brace on the top for the intercooler and radiator to sit perfectly.

I had the intercooler originally in the front with no piping. I saw Kelly's 240, the owner i guess of Extreme Auto Salon. He has a pretty sweet v-mount going, so they gave me that option, which i gladly agreed to. Plus a friend of mine Eric works their, so they are going to help me out with the overall price.
