Thumbs up The new addition!

Just got her home @ 10pm last night! She's a beauty. Suspension recently installed, RB springs all around, Tokico blues on all four corners, interior is uncracked and cherry as can be at this age. She's an 84 GS w/GS-LE suspension swap w/Hawk pads. New tires, only one track day on em' w/nice 15 in.rims. Ok, enough yappin, on to the pics!

Engine bay is even clean!

Nice, clean engine bay too! Now has a NICE street port nestled comfy inside. Thanks to some after dark help from Jesus! Notice the last pic, the engine mount is a New Jesus special! 2 piece maple solid mount (freestanding) LOL! Maybe we should patent it!

Custom exhaust too?!

Not sure what kind of exhaust it has already on it, I have a dual RB setup to put on. But it's thick walled 3" and stainless and looks sweet! Going back to get the header, maybe it'll give me a better idea on who made it.

That's a nice car! I especially like the motor mount!

Do you need a wiring harness? I have a decent '84-'85 type that will fit the yellow plastic firewall plugs. I can bring it to Taco7.

I bet someone on the forum would like the exhaust. Looks like a muffler shop welded it up with crush bent aluminized pipe and a Magnaflow. Not the best, but can definitely work for a while. You'll really like the dual pipe RB setup. I loved it on Percent's white car when I got to borrow one a few years ago. Quiet and powerful on his '74 ported 12A. I was constantly driving past the speed limit because I was used to loud exhausts. It was deceptively quiet for the speed. lol

Unfortunately, Rhere was only one good mount, so we had to use the "normal" kind to keep the motor from bouncing around ****-eyed on the dolly while I brought her home. I felt compelled to take the "new" style mount out and replace with an "old style" one since the new one was just too advanced a technology for me. LOL

You should have said you needed a motor mont because I have a small box full of them. I can bring some with the wiring harness.

They sell motor mounts at your local big 5. You'll find them in the hockey section. The usually come in multi packs.

On a side note, I found out that the rx8 motor mounts are liquid filled today. CRAZY!

Jeff, I'm good on the harness. This ones ok. I'll take a couple motor mounts if you have any extra layin around though. When I picked up the car, guy said he was keeping motor and rad. Didn't realize till I got home that there isn't a rear sway bar, he removed the "hardline" from rad to heater along passenger firewall, took battery, header, motor mounts, heater hoses, and the starter. All of which is ok, but he didn't say, so I didn't have replacements ready. Scrambling now. LOL Gotta get this thing running before Monday when my landlord gets back from Vegas and wants her ride back.

I talked to the guy today and I'm going back to puyallup tomorrow to get the header. It is a custom exhaust he had fabbed. RB header to 3" stainless, straight piped back to a Magnaflow. I'll be pulling my RB dual to put on it, but then I have to swap this one into the wifes and her stocker into the red one. Too time consuming to add to the list right now. Still have to finish cleaning out the wifes tank (was coated in varnish/bad gas) and finish her car - rad/hoses/carb/fuel filter/battery/wiring, then finish mine - alt/gilmer/dizzy/efan and thermo switch/rad/hoses/carb and intake/fuel pump and fpr/header/wiring/starter/battery. Then have to put another carb and intake/battery/pulleys and belts/fuel pump/rad in the red car. Need to get the wifes and mine done by Sun. latest, and the red one by Mon. or ASAP. So, I'm going to leave the 3" w/Magnaflow on the new one for now, just so I can get everything up and running, then swap at first opportunity. Whew! Lot's of work, little time!

Ok, I'll bring motor mounts, a hardline pipe/tube from rad to firewall, and a heater hose if I still have it/them. I have a starter if you still need one. Going rate for these is $20 but it might be my last spare that I can sell for $20. I gotta hang on to the rest. I'll look in the box.

Do you need the nuts/lock washers/big washers for the motor mounts? I might have one complete set from my blue FB since I'm changing over to hockey pucks.

I'll take the mounts, and the hardline (pulled the one off the parts car just to get going, but it's in sad shape) Got the heater hoses covered now. (stole from the red car. LOL I do have a starter, I'll know in a day or so if I can massage it into shape. If not, I'll take the one you have. I may have the washers and nuts for the mounts, so if you have some handy, bring em' if not, no prob.
Thanks Jeff. Hoping to have it up and running to take to Taco7!

Well, after taking the last week off to get the cars running, It's Sunday night and no joy. The only highlight is that I did have the new addition running for a sec, then noticed the antifreeze running out on the ground. After pulling the rad, the e-fan and all, found a pinhole in the top, Apparently I had 1 screw a 1/4 inch longer than the rest in the box of screws, and when I mounted my e-fan to the rad it was just enough to penetrate. I'm trying to look on the bright side, but at this point I JUST WANT TO SCREAM. Hopefully there's a radiator place close and they can fix it cheap. So far I have three cars, am out over 4 grand(not including the price of the cars) and haven't driven a one, nor do I have a single one running.

Well, 30 bucks repaired my rad and Hearing the FB run repaired my mood! LOL It was too late to do a test drive, but tomorrow is another day. I may actually get behind the wheel of a 7 for this first time in many a year! Thank God and the forum members for small favors.

Well, I've got a few "wierd" issues to figure out and I definately need a better tune, but she's running and I'm driving! Even if it isn't at peak performance, she's a ball to drive. I'd almost forgotten how much O loved my old one after 10 odd years. See ya'll at Taco 7 in a few hours.
