Smile New 1st Gen Owner In Kirkland Wa

HELLO! Just bought my 1'st rx-7!!!
Early 1979 gs, yellow, totaly stock (not for long)
Found it on craig's list for $1000.00
It had some electrical gremlin's. The sterio was shorting out witch cooked the voltage reg and fried 2 alt's. now fixed and works great
It has a nice interior for a 79, stright body, ok paint (bad overspray) Newer seat's
The engine has 6,000 miles since dealer rebuild $2,700.00!!!
25,000 miles on a new carb!!! + new brake pad's + new stock exaust + lot's of dealer part's
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!
I feel like i stole it!!!
New parts i have put on are, new rad+hoses, idler arm? (that part thet gets really sloppy), volt reg+alt, full tune up, oil ect.
I found a 83 GSL at pull a part. I pulled the 5 speed+drive line+lsd rear end+lots of misc item's. all this for about $200.00! Will install soon.
Looking foward to meeting you guy's
I met a member in totem lake last month (2 days after getting it) he has a yello 79 to!
Thanks for your info on this site it has helped a lot!!!

Hi SPEED and welcome to the NW. If you wanna meet a bunch of us and are planning on caravaning down to wenachee with everyone, you might wanna purchase a packet to join us for the weekend for our yearly road rally. I know all the hotel rooms are gone, but Im sure someone will let you crash on their floor. Heres the website on some of the info on events that happen during the rally. http://nwrotorrally.org/ except for the after hours fun.

I will pm you my number if you wanna call me with any questions on what this rally is, or help you out with any of it. Its past the deadline for everything, but theres always room.

Again welcome and hope to see you at our rotor rally.

I will be more than happy to show you my setup for water meth injection. Honestly though unless you are going to be boosting in the higher psi ranges it is useless IMO.

There are not too many carb'd setups that come out, but codeblue has a pretty sweet one. Just take your time and look at his setup.

cool cant wait to see it!
I have a cooling mist kit for a chev 350 i am building. 11.5:1 big cam forged piston gas hog. plan is to run the thing (try anyway) on pump gas and lean it WAY out. trying to mix power and milage. but i need to learn more about exaust temps as this will be my main tuning guide. did you know the cooling mist kit 150psi pump will only last 100 hours?!!!!! wish i knew that before i got it! i am thinking of some kind of compresed air setup with a back up air pump to solve the problem of buying a new pump every 100 hours. is your setup powered by boost or a pump?
when i do the 7 i thought of using boost pressure power the system. have heard this is way easey to do.
