need speeding ticket lawyer?

so i guess i got paced going 54 in a 30. seems way faster than i think i was going. but i can't afford to have this ticket on my record. i get a ticket, i lose my job.

what are the chances that a lawyer could get this dropped for me and could anyone refer me to a GOOD one?

where are you located? I was in the same situation as you, drove a truck for my job. This guy got me out of unsafe lane change + following too closely ticket. I think he charges ~$200. Didn't have to show up for court or anything, he got both dropped. He is located in edmonds. Good luck.

I personally would do a little research by going to the court house and sitting through a few hours of other people trials and see which lawyer consistently is getting tickets like yours reduced. After all that is said and done I would approach whoever was getting the most cases droped and ask for their business card and contact them later. A lot of lawyer are friends with the judges in different court houses and it would be to your benefit to find the judge lawyer combo that works best.

Sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands.

I would like to know too, for future reference when I get my next ticket. It's not a matter of if, it's when.

actually probably any traffic lawyer should be able to get that dropped. there are alot of stipulations regarding the officers car and distance you were being paced. my attorney had told me being paced is the easiest to get dropped, something like 98% win rate.

if the cop hasnt filled his paper work in 48hrs. it will automaticly drop.. call and see when the cop filed the ticket, comparied to your actual date you got the ticket. if its been longer then 48hrs take it to court. ANy ticket you can do that. i didnt beilive it when my friend told me that but i did it anyways and it worked. mine was for a speeding ticket as well 82 in a 60 and all i said was the cop didnt file his paper work with in 48hrs and she was like alright bye.

The other option you have, assuming this is your first ticket, is deffering it. My only ticket was deferred (91 in a 60). $75 administrative fee, and $35 to do an online driving course that took about 2 hours, and it doesn't appear on your record. However, if you get another ticket within like, 2 years, depending on what the judge issues, it will show up on your record AND you will have to pay the entirity of the ticket. It's an option though. If all else fails it's something to shoot for.
