Need some help guys!!

Hey guys... so my rebuild has come to a stop. The mechanic that was going to due the work quit at the shop. The engine has been rebuilt by adkins. So it's sitting on a bench right now. Is their a shop near by possibly that would take this and help me get the car back together? I live in Bremerton, Wa. I'm not sure if the shop I have her at can do the job correctly now.

thanks
Carl

Yikes. So you need the motor put back into the car? Or is there more to it than that? Is the motor the long block (manifolds on it) or the short block/keg (just rotors and housings put together)? Also, what year and type of motor is this?

13b-rew Short block. ya a lot of work to get it back together. Then get it back into the car. Got '99 model twins from FD3S Engineering, FFE fuel rails with ID 850/2k, new water pump, fuel pump, omp delete, new harness, sake bomb AEM coil kit, AE knights solenoid kit, adaptronic ecu and a bunch of other stuff.

Wow. You have quite the build! I want to help you but I'm in lake Stevens and I don't think I could give you the time you need.

Who's tuning your ecu? I'm thinking of adaptronic as well.

Thanks man! But I don't have the space or the tools. I would love to do it myself but ya...the Rex is still at the shop right now. The owner was going to tune it. I have a base map I can start out with and go from there. But I may have to get the car to someone to tune now.

So I've been talking with silverfdturbo6prt threw Pm's. He's expecting this post. Who knows him and who has had him do work for you? I may have him do all the work on the car. If I do I'm going to have to find a way to get the car and all the parts out there to him.

Another option would be just get it home and do it myself. But I don't have the exp and would like to know if some of you that do would like to help out on the weekends.

the last is to find a shop to do it.

I've talked with him before via PM's and he knows his stuff. He's built a good amount of motors too.

You can always rent a dolly and truck to drive it to him. Or get aaa. They tow 100 miles.

I'm headed that way in the next couple weekends to snag some subaru parts, the truck's not going to manage towing a car but I can move the motor and any other parts you need.

I have had silverfd do work for me as well. I can not vouche for his tuning experience but if you want the car done in a timely manner I'd take it to him. He knows his stuff and is quite efficient. You'll pay a fraction of the price of a shop and it'll get done vs sitting in your garage for years. But being from across the state if you have issues down the road, you need a local person that can address the issues if you can't. I'd say have him get it together and go from there.

I can't vouch for him, but in my 10 years in the RX realm I've never heard anyone say anything negative about him.

He has been one of the diehard rotary guys here in Spokane for years, If I didn't like doing my own work he is the one I would take mine too. He really knows his stuff.
