need more help still not fixed

ok i got an 86 gxl and i had it warming up the other morning and it died and after that i couldnt get it to really start and iv checked spark and got none does anybody got any ideas and yes iv searched and havent really haven found anything that has helped

its probably flooded too. do a search for the procedure to un-flood your engine. pull your spark plugs and give them a really good cleaning, and then check for spark. flooding the car usually gets the plugs pretty gummed up. if they're is still no spark after you clean em up/replace them then get back to us.

no im getting no spark from the coil i just replaced the plugs and i know the deflooding procedures and iv tryed those first then traced it to the coil

had a similar problem with an 86, i did a motor swap and it fired up for about 20 seconds and then nothing. No spark etc. after about a year of fooling around it turned out to be the MAF gone bad. we swapped in another from a running car and it was Ok. Probably not your problem but no one suggested it to me.

thanks ill try that but i got it started and i hooked up my timing light to it so i could watch it and as soon as the car warms up it starts back firing ans i start looseing spark it does it for a few minutes then dies anybody got any ideas could it be the crank angle sensor?
