need help with rim offset. FAST

Question need help with rim offset. FAST

i was wondering if i can run a 38 offset on 86 GXL the rims are 17" enkei rs6. the tires are a 225/40/17.
any help would be great. i'm going to look at them tomorrow afternoon(saturday).

you'll probably need spacers. and even if you don't you'll want them. the wheels will be sitting in pretty far.
10mm spacers all around and it would look nice.

don't mean to thread jack but i just bought some ssr dr5 18x9.5 in the rear 40 offset for 59 bukcs a piece, thank you tire rack close out!will they fit ok?

You dont need spacers. Damm people, Stock FC offset is +40mm pretty much like a fwd car. Your wheels are 2mm set further in to the inside of the fender. I am pretty sure you won't even be able to tell, less than 1/8 of a inch. Buy the wheels if they are 17x7. perfect fit.

these wheels will work fine they dont rub i had them on my fc before i curbed them they were awsome looking just seem like they belong on a fwd herei s a pic

It's going to be reaaaaally close. I ran 17x8 +35 with a 225/55/17 on my car and it was really close to the strut and still rubbed the fender on hard right turns.

Ditto, they will fit. Stock T2 wheels are 16x7 with a +40 offset. 17x7 with a +38 offset will be money. They will sit just 2mm further away from the struts than T2 wheels do.
