Need advice on extended stay.

Hi,

I'm moving out of a house and want to stay somewhere in between Bellevue-S. Everett. I'd like to stay 1 or 2 months (or more, but won't know until later). So, I'm looking for monthly stay w/ option to extend for the next month. I don't know much about this stuff. What do you recomend doing? I've contacted some apartments, but they require 6-9 months contact. The hotel is about 900 bucks and up...which is too much for me. Some friends offered me their places, but as the lenght of the stay may vary, I don't think it's such a good idea for them.

I'd like a place where there's internet access, good privacy, and digital cable TV (hee hee hee), but the privacy would be the priority.

What should I do? Apartment is OK for me as I have my own TV and bed, which will be thrown out once I leave.

Thank you for your advice.

You could stay in your car near a coffee house with free wifi. But seriously maybe buy a small travel trailer and stay at an RV park. get a friend to tow it there for you. Check to see if any of your friends or family have one you can borrow. I use to stay in my dad's motorhome when I would visit with him out in eastern Oregon.

Hi...Thank you for the advice.

The thing is I'm moving oversea in 1, 2, or even 3 months time. Buying RV doesn't seem to be a good idea to me (at least in my opinion) as I might only live in it for 1 month and take a good reduction in value of the RV.

I went checking on one of the apartments. They want a quater short of 1K each month for two month contact. Man,....I should stay in a hotel????

What do you think of a share house??? I'd be staying with my significant other for 2-3 weeks first, then she'll leave me for the rest of the stay. Will share house work? I was looking and see that they only want 5-700 hundread a month.

I hate to recomend this.....but you could find one of those "motels" that rent out week to week. Not a great option.

Check around for people wanting roommates. Lotsa those types out there. Just tell them whats up and you can probebly find someone to take you in. Helping to pay there rent for 1,2 or 3 months is better then not having anyone pay it even if its not for as long as they might like.

Good luck

Hi AUGieDogie,

Thanks for the advice! I actually thought about that motel idea and is still considering it. But, the cheaper one (more affordable, you know) is still running 190 a week. But, the worst part is they don't know weather they have a room for me or not until noon of the day. Well, I'm moving out tomorrow, so...I'll be staying with a friend till I find a place. But, the share house or roommate idea is actaully good. I will look forward into it (but, my wifey would prefer more privacy or staying with people she knows althougth I don't really care about those stuff.)

try to hook up with a house sitting service, if youve got good credit and a squeeky clean record, you can camp in somebody elses house for months on end, if you can get your foot in the door.
