my wrapped rb headers

i just wrapped them today, i had to get wet to apply. when i mounted and started up car 4-5 hrs later, what i think was steam was coming out of the wrap. has anybody done this or had this happen? im worried cuz i have to drive the car an hour away to a shop tommaro, please let me know.

Most likely, it is. My father has the headers on his built 454 wrapped, and then spray treated (stuff is like spray paint). When he first started the car, they heated up and lit on fire. After that first time, all the excess stuff had burnt away, so theyre fine now. If you had to get them wet, its probably just some residue left over burning away.

Also if you don't drive it for more than say 3-4 weeks they'll somke again. It's normal and nothing to worry about. It should last 15 minutes at the most.
