My New Toy/DD :)

well i finally made a choice and picked out a new car, got a decent deal on the car, had 40k original miles on it when i got it. runs like a champ. Has a few mods like a Perrin FMIC, exhaust, o2 housing, Evo 9 MR turbo with the 10.5 hot side, and a few other little mods. let me know what you think..

BTW yes i know its not a rx7...lol

just for the record, the pics in the garage are not of my garage, those were pics he took and his garage was messy.

let me know what you think

Rob

I don't know if it's bright enough - lol.

Anyway, congrats on your new car. I've been in a few on the autocross and always find them fun and well-handling cars. All the owners I've met so far have been pretty cool too.

cool car. Although i will never buy another tuner car that has already been modded. Although it's only got 40k on it I can almost guarantee 10k of it's life has been above 6k RPM...

lol i guess i should have made it clearer, its a 2003 evo VIII, non MR. it just has a EVO IV MR turbo on it.
the gas mileage kinda sucks though, around 20.
it has some JIC coilover in the front, and stock struts with Tien springs in the back, he gave me the stock struts with the tiens for the front too.
the car sure does handle good though.

All of the after market parts were installed with in the last 500 miles to me getting it. the kid i bought it from had only put 500ish miles on it, and he installed the exhaust, intercooler, intake, and the different turbo, so im not too worried its been beat on. He also installed a walbro fuel pump so it has plenty of fuel.

Rob, you should get a grille to hide your radiator and fans, but not one of the generic ricer grilles, get a Strut grille for a 300c and make your bumper fit the grille

try a salvage yard or a used front air dam, probably cheaper

i dont have any evo's in salvage yards around here. the salvage yards around here buy the hondas, these cars are too much for them to buy for the yards.
i also live in a town where the population is around 5k people, and i have yet to see anouther evo 8 in town yet.

lol try foreigncarparts.com they list what salvage yars have and you can search within a certain radius. You may be able to find something there for a decent price

Awesome! Going to pick up our new DD / track car..... 2002 WRX wagon. If you come to the BSCC meets, you'll see it down there. It will be the GF's track car.
