twilightslide: Not too sure how low I am going to have the car yet but the rad actually isnt any lower than the bumper not including the lip.
RotorTuner: That is what pushed me to go with this motor instead of the ls2, this way I didnt have to shell out money for heads and cam to make similar power, so win win.

My friend has a FC with an LS2/t56, long tube headers and a cam. Dynoed around 450whp, the car is a drift car gutted and caged. I rode in it at the track and the throttle response and power delivery on command is amazing. I know the LS3 is even better especially if you eventually do headwork and a cam, get a good 550hp or so and it will be even better.

That should be a good combo.
What are you guys doing with the gearing? I know a lot of the t56 donor cars are 3.42 rear ends, going to the FD 4.10 rear, that might make for some high revs and a first gear that is pretty short. Its mainly the first gear, when that gets too low, you can almost start in 2nd, which means your 6 speed is now a 5 speed and you know longer really have an overdrive 6th.

man you guys are getting me all excited, hoping to have my trans early next week. longtubes will be here tomorrow and I have friday through tuesday off so hoping to get everything ready to drop the trans in and Go!
Rotortuner: I am running my stock diff for the moment, I will probably go to the turbo II rear unless the gearing really bothers me. eventually would like to do the cobra rear end, samberg makes a kit for that.
Bosscobra: that thing is gonna be crazy with 500 rwhp. when are you hoping to finish....pics?
Woundup7: sorry I didnt see your question, thanks and hoping for next mon or tuesday but I am sure stuff will pop up.

Gearing isn't an issue. For daily driving I just start in second till 40 and then shift into 6th. XD With as much torque as we have and how light we are, it doesn't matter. XD
Bosscobra will be finished with his in 2-15 years. XD jk jk. Been a long battle for him. All the poker sites are gone now eh? Sad face.

right now im prepping the chassis, i want to get at least my engine bay painted, interior painted, and my body harness modded and back in, and then get my interior at least mostly put back together. ive got a new ls2 block and some misc parts laying around. trying to just wait for good deals to pop up on stuff and piece things together as i go. time frame im probably looking at a year or two.
tweak, i quit playing poker a long time ago so it doesnt really bother me any, i actually have a few bucks on pokestars still

Sweet, is that the one we played at? I bet I have a bit sitting in there too! We should go spend it in a stupid tourney! lol. I doubt we could get the money out if we won anyways. XD

Well I got her started last night! So stoked/tired. Start up went very smooth minus a fuel clamp I forgot to tighten, easy fix. I will update more soon.

I finally got the car on its first drive! Trans shifts great! Thanks Mark(gnx7)! The car is feels great, gotta put about 998 more miles on the engine and trans before I really have some fun
.
I have a few little things to do:
have a y pipe made
figure out why my tach isnt working
get a shifter boot
take it to my shop and align it, the front is waaaaay off
my battery is shot, need to order a new one.
mess with my hood lifting up from the samberg intake
hood gap

ground clearance

Man I missed seeing this car outside!

That's pure sex, Chance. Let's get some numbers in the next month or so. I will eventually be going pistons in the FD once I actually hit the floor at Boeing and pay down some other debt.
