Some more information on your motor might help.
Is it a Mazda Remanufactured engine or has it been rebuilt?
If it has been rebuilt, who rebuilt it?
Is there anything wrong with it? / What condition is it in?
How well does/did it run?
How many miles on the turbos?
Any upgrades or reliability mods done?
etc.

Well... I bought the car as a wreck.. and I have papers... The engine was a full unit replacement.. Brand new engine.. the tranny hasen't been touched as far as I know... it comes with a HKS down pipe.. It ran well when I recieved it.. (just didn't look good)..
I guess later today I can make a copy of the reciept I have ($9500 jobber).. when the previous owner replaced the engine (dealership work).. basically everything that went to the engine (wires, gaskets, pipes) were replaced also..

the problem with any used motor/trans is that you (as a buyer) cant run them and see what is really going on. No matter what you have (unless it is still on the pallet from the rebuilder) is going to be suspect to most buyers. I would figure that unless the buyer knows you and trusts you, you'd be hard pressed to get what a JDM would go for, and probably less since you dont offer a warranty... it may be that with a dealer receipt, you could ask for more. search the fs section in the forum. i bought a rebuilt 93 with bad water seal, and rebuilt turbos with less than 10K miles for $800 off the forum last year (and he tossed in the auto trans). So, the engine transmission is worth what you can get out of it. Start at what you want to get out of it, and let the market decide..... my 2cents
