Meet in Yakima!
I would not doubt that the turbo is blown after running such high boost. Be prepared for it to be competely blown. When your car did drive recently did you see any smoke behind you? Also if you had no oil, that also means that your turbo was not getting oiled ...and although our turbos are water and oil cooled, if you were still running 12-14 psi .... eekk.
Sounds like you are starting to get the idea of what it's like to own a rotary. Do it right or do it twice kinda thing. It's going to cost a lot to keep your car up and running. Luckily you are wiling to do most of the work yourself, but that takes away a lot of time.
No oil... scary.

**** the good quote is, "we do it nice, cause we do it twice!"
casue thats how alot of people do thier cars...
im changing my ways, just ask tweak....
ya it is Luis's do you know him? Hey Tweak said you have a s5 turbo for sale and I really need one I blew mine, but I dont have much money, I would like to get it this weekend, I need to pay some bills on friday and see what I have left, oh and get somthing for mothers day!
yea im pretty good friends with luis, i have worked on that car a few times too. what happend to the T4 and **** that was on it?
and i got that s5 turbo, pm me what you can do. maybe i can work with ya.

well you will see it if I buy your turbo, the intercooler has been moved to the front of the car instead of behinfd the radiator, LOL. the safc is gone, a dual apexi N1 exhaust, gutted, the T2 hood id fucked up from the carwash. new speakers all the way around DVD player, the supposidly new ACT clutch went out in like 5 months. new alternator, new fuel pump, soon to have aftermarket fuel regulator, new sec. injectors. some knick knacks.
hmm, thats wierd, i remeber he had the intercooler mounted in the front, and hacked th **** out of the bumper.... did he move it before you bought it?
why did you take out the safc?
why did you take out the safc?
well I dont know if you know (eriks7) on the forum, but when I lived in seattle he did some work for me, and I gave that to him to reduce the price of my bill, that was like the first SAFC so I think he sold it for $100. Eriks7 is the guy thats selling that sweet JDM white rx7 on craigslist right now for $8 grand. Beautiful car, he helped set up my car cuz luis had it set up all weird and i was new to the rotary world, and didnt have a clue.
well the intercooler, the exhaust was matted to the turbo, alot of cut wires that were not capped off. His name was etched in the radiator resevoir, he sold me the car with 2 bad sec. injectors, and what he said was a new clutch, the throw out bearing went out in a month. overall the car has been a real pain in the butt, most of the big problems have been my fault though for not knowing eneogh about rotaries, im on my second engine in one year.

Second engine in one year is nothing.
I like a quote from one of my rotary elders "the key is to learn from mistakes. actually our cars are not that complicated and you eventually cover all the bases. once you do, you will find the journey was worth the cost... "
Hopefully you won't be like me and go through ... ohhh 8 or 9 engines before you start to get it right. I learned the hard way, as you are. Read the forums like a bible, but also second guess everything (like the bible haha) and do even more research on the forum. There is a wealth of information here and reading/searching just a little bit will save you tons of money, but even better yet, time. It's great having an rx7, and getting to play with it, but if it's broken/dead half the time, how much fun is it really?
At least now you understand what you did wrong in the past, and I can tell from when I first talked to you on the phone, you are starting to figure it out. Instead of just shrugging it off and listening to your JDM friends you are doing research. Keep it up. JDM friends are cool and all, it's just that your playing a whole different game than them with a turbo rotary.

On a side note, without a forum, it would have takin a long time, if EVER for all the people in Yakima and such to find each other. Without chris's help right when I started out, I bet I would not be owning a 7 today. Back then I had to go through him for parts and such because I didn't know anybody. I found him on the forum, and he was VERY confused because we used to go to YVCC, and I used to be hooked on 240sxes. haha.
I am nothing special, I just have a little too much free time, the ability to sit on the forums for 5+ hours at a time, and I have enough resources to complete projects. I am a little obessed with my car though, but I think there are a few other people out there like me.
