I'll be there in a Dark Blue Police Interceptor.

Why would you street race after meeting at a racetrack?

I'm the kind of rotary owner that prefers to see my car in my driveway, rather than in the impound.

The kind that don't like Felony records. It's $25 to race as many times as you want for 6 hours. Friday AND Saturday nights, from March-October. There is *no* excuse to street race in the Portland area.

man i miss the days when highschool drags were just a slap on the wrist. damn "the man" and traffic laws lol. i got roads out here that no one every drives on. no cops or pedestrian vehicles. but no one lives anywhere near here to cruiz them with me. i mean drags are cool and all. but rx7's arent about drags lol. they have great suspension for a reason. anyway. id be ok with just meetin up and checkin out everyones rides and stuff. fair enough?

A simple meet-and-greet is just fine.

I "miss" the old days too, but I lost a friend to a street racing accident. It's stupid, and that's why it's a felony in most states now.

As for "suspensions and stuff", there's track days every week and 12 auto-crosses at PIR alone this year. Plenty of legal venues to race with corners, mkay?

Now a nice "cruise" on a good, twisty road at the speed limit (55 on all the county roads up here, more then enough in the twisties to have a fun drive) is great fun, especially when you line 3 or more cars up in a row and cruise together. Doing one on Saturday in fact.

So I'll see you at the drags on Friday the 7th? I'll race you with the cop car, you can squint and pretend you're being chased for street racing

that would be nice. id like a nice run with some other rotaries. do u need a roll bar setup in ur car for PIR events that involve turns? i know u do for drift events. but anyway. ill be at PIR on saturday the 8th if anyone wants to meet up.

No roll bar required for auto-crossing.

So I'll see both you guys on the 8th at PIR? I'll probably have to drag the 83 GSL down then. We can start planning some cruises and I'll bring the auto-cross information.

I know, I was there I was in the Dark Blue Crown Vic Police Interceptor and the Yellow 2004 GTO with the flames and roll cage (for the 13-second runs!).

You coming out the 7th, the 8th, or both? Looks like I'll bring the cop car again on the 7th and the RX-7 on the 8th.

sorry i meant to add some coughing in there. im all about hauling *** on twisty roads. legally. cough cough.
and im not a rotary owner so i dont apply anyway haha

you dont need a roll bar for (local )drift events unless your a vert. or unless they just changed rules this year.

and i think i'll do PIR on sat the 8th also. any more rx7s gonna be there?

Gates open at 6, it's not bad being Saturday. Show up at 6:30-7:00 and you drive right in, no line. I'll be there at 5:30 or so.

OK, Time for a roll call on this. Post up again if you're definitely coming, PIR March 8th. I'll be there early, so I can mark off a section of pits for us, so a head/car count would be nice.
