Lol Omg Idaho Kids! Lol

omg ... I am some what disappointed today. I met some FC kids in ID on one of our meetings a couple days ago and got their number. They have been calling me for help (one about autocross and sheit) and the other one today was just calling .. I dunno why... lol

Anyways we are talking and I ask about his car and such, he talks about how when he puts on the pressure sensor he gets fuel cut ... and how he doesnt know his injector sizes, but he has an e8, a full standalone, on stock turbo and such, and it has trouble starting. I was like oh ok, let me come over and help you tune your coolant correction map. (A nice thing to do. Also I was very confused on this car since he didn't seem to know much about it... )

I get there, pop the hood, and I see MAF.. I'm like ...wwwwwwhhhhaaaaattttt the ****. lol, I am looking around, and it looks completely stock, rats nest, tmic, stock turbo, the whole shibang. I am looking at this thing going either an AMAZING ninja wasted e8 install right by the stock ecu, or stock ecu. I do a little test, cause I told them they dont need the MAF if they are running a standalone, and they said it was just there. I pulled the maf connector and the car died. I laughed inside.

I opened the passenger door, and knocked on the passenger floorboard. Stock .. stock. lol...

I tell them, I am sorry you don't have a standalone, you are stock ECU, and you are missing your pressure sensor. (lol)

They are like no, and got all huffy and puffy, some cubby idaho kid was like you calling my friend a liar. I was like um...he thinks he has a standalone, he tells me he tunes it all the time, you wont let me plug my computer into your usb port so I can check your maps and help you..... lol yeah kinda.

They get all furious and tell me my car is slow and that they could beat me. I was like t04s vs. stock turbo... go for it bud lol. (his friend in his stock integra says he could beat me too.. ) I almost died laughing.

They head off. I see them on highway (that had a layer of ice on it) and I match and start to pull away before I lose traction. :/

I don't know ...what these kids are thinking. Maybe they are just dumb, and he got ripped off buying the car? Are they just laying hoping that people wontk now better? I think it is the second one, cause they got mad when I proved them wrong and they wouldn't show me the e8. lol.

Anyways... wow ... It is definitely his lose, not mine. They are idiots. I could have been a very valuable resource.

lol
/Story -end

Anyways, have you guys ever met people like this before? Are they just lying to try and look cool? To try and impress their friends? Weird...

Yeah, I have found that claiming to have something around anyone that knows their stuff... is only a good idea if you actually HAVE it.

I bet there was a monster single ninja'd into the stock turbo housing too.

well there are guys hacking up haltechs into bits and making them fit into the stock case for ITS cars, so it might've had one, but I highly doubt it. I get this crap all the time. People always try and lie to me about the 7 with the 21000 rpm redline they used to have...

Yeah man, they rev forever! didn't you know that? Everyone back in the day had p-ports.

The fact that this kid didn't have a clue, makes me think he didn't take the time to have a ninja e8 using the stock maf, stock everything, for a stock s4 turbo. He didn't even know what injectors he had. (I'm quite sure he doesn't know he has 2 sets of injectors lol.) Anyways, I am not going to take drives for fun into ID any more. Those people ... are really starting to scare me.

Wow.... So lets say ..... the circumference of the inside of a rotor housing is 24 inches .... the apex seal would be going Mach 1.72. Good stuff. 1134 MPH. lol Poor housings!

Lol, I need a life if I can really sit here and waste time calculating that.

Yo, Nateness... I'm about to graduate here and move to seattle/renton. Any ideas for some cool people to live with? would be awesome to find an educated group of people that enjoy tinkering with cars also.

Well lol no he isn't on the forum. Lol I texted the kid and told him that I really am the closest thing he is going to find to a person that knows rotary. I am the real deal and if he wants me to help him he needs to stop being stupid and lying. Well he said sorry and what not, so I have talked to him on msn for a couple days now, and he is ..... interesting. He has a 1000 hp v8 I guess ... and he broke his axles on his rx7 t2 yesterday morning (with stock turbo) but he has it fixed already. I asked for pix... waiting on those. Pretty sure they are never going to come. We will see. If they don't I am just going to ignore the kid from now on. He is obviously a compulsive liar... I would give out his phone number and stuff, but I feel sorry for the kid... feels like he needs to live a fake life for people to like him. Maybe ID kids really don't have anything else better to do?

Urg there are several of those kinds of people all over. Seattle is no different. I feel sorry for those compulsive liars, because for some reason they cannot will themselves out of the habit. Its quite an annoying mental issue. Id say don't even bother associating yourself with him, even if he needs help. Its clear that the amount of head ache your gona have with the kid is going to be off the scale if you choose to still help and be part of his warped life.
