Your milleage (literally) may vary on which shop. There has been some very mixed experiences and opinions on the quality of a number of NW rotary rebuilders lately. Use the search tool when you narrow your choices down.

I do as long as I'm not busy with other things since I'm a one man operation heh.
I, however, don't provide any warranty except startup and initial drive (~100 miles), after that you're on your own (I figure if everything is still going well after that and compression was rising during this time, it's good to go). Other shops and places provide better warranties obviously, because this is their lively hood, for me it's only a side thing

The difference between say Atkins and Mike is that Atkins don't like giving warrantys. If something does go wrong with one of Mikes builds, then he will fix if its his mistake, and if its not his mistake, he will still fix with at least some sorta discount, if not his labor.

Your biggest concern when getting it done should be the quality of parts used in rebuilding. Know what you are getting into. Suspect used parts will yeild a weak engine with problems, no matter who builds it. New engine parts are not cheap. My next rebuild will run me over $2200 in engine parts alone. Well worth it when you know how many broke ***, weak engines are pushing 7's around the NW these days.
My current rebuild with used parts is strong and pulls good compression #'s. I am very detail and picky when building my own engine though. I also didn't use any suspect usde parts. Even with this I only expect my engine to last 50-75k. It has 12k miles on it so far.
Most engine builders are more concerned with the bottom line and getting it done quick though. I wouldn't trust ANYONE but myself to build my engine.

Very true unfortunately. I've learned that though some things CAN be reused, I never will again. Example, many people reuse bearings, why? Rotor bearings for 13b's are 20 dollars a piece, and you need 2, that's cheap when you realize how much better your oil pressure will be when replacing them rather than reusing. Side seals are cheap too, in the long run, and should be replaced even if the ones you currently have are barely in spec.
