Good place up here to pick up a spare rotary for dissection?

Basically, just looking for a place where I might be able to (preferably) find a 13b to take apart and just learn about the rotary motor through. I'm guessing most people will be saying junkyards, but if so, which ones are good? How often can I expect to find rotaries around there? Any suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance. This is Western Washington, BTW, ~ King County area.

i wouldnt go to a junk yard for one they still charge u like 150 for a dead motor! hey if those guys are giving away free blown 12a id pick that up... pulling that apart you will totally understand exactly how a rotary works and what not.. 12a and 13 b are basicly the same just 12a is slightly smaller.

what kinds of blown motors do you have??? , like zero comp on 1 rotor ones... or overheated?? what type of failure is expected??
would mainly be looking for motors with compression on 1 rotor...

reason i ask is my dad wants to start colecting motor parts . so we can start rebuilding motors on our own....
