James Walker, I have a piece of your FD

I think you are on the forum, but I can't recall your username. If any knows what James' username is, let me know. He drives a beautiful stock '93 red touring.

Anyway James, during your last run at the Slush #2 event at Sanderson Field this morning (nice driving btw), you lost a piece of your car in that short slalom right after the first turn-around. I grabbed it and as soon as the last reruns were done I tried to catch you, but you must have taken off pretty quick.

It is a funny black plastic piece. I'm not sure where it came from since I don't recall ever seeing anything like it on my FD, but then mine had a few pieces missing. I've got it in my Auto-X box so I'll have it with me at Slush #3 in two weeks if you are going to be there. After that, the next event that I think I'll be able to make is the BSCC Event #2 on April 17th.

I don't get on this forum very often, so you may want to send me at txt at 253-208-6369.

Here are pictures of the part. Anyone know what it is?

Looks like maybe the insert for the side vents in the front bumper? On non R1 models you will sometimes see the non oil cooler side blocked. That's about the only thing I can think of

That actually sounds like a good idea. I'll bet you're right.

Oh and of course that's on manual transmission cars. The auto transmission has a tranny cooler in the other vent.

How are you Mr Hays? What are you driving these days? The 350Z?

Yup, an '06 Z. Not nearly as much character as the FD, but still fun.
