quik shout out to kettleman and shojin(marlon).

allen, sorry to hear bout your motor. hit me up man.
marlon, seen you driving jackson's former ride, s14

let me re intro myself. Name is Roger. I used to live in olympia, then moved to Renton. Been busy with work and skool. havent touched my fc for a few months.

pretty soon, i'mma get that car going(few bugs) but i miss goin to the meets and all. dont want to keep rollin up there wid my honda civic or my 240sx. I can drive my fc, but its open header with a (puts on flame suit) sbc 350. dont wanna get a fat ticket for no exhaust.

but i've kaught up with a few things and started to get focus on my lovely fc.

Wink

yeah, been contemplating how to do the fuel line (my friend bent it across the under body to the passengerside of the car where the fuel pump is). then i can put exhaust on it.

gotta get me a wiper motor(mine doesnt work) a bigger radiator to cool the v8, see what i can do about the gauge cluster since nothing works.

i picked up an infiniti m30 a few weeks back for a good price and i've been traveling too.

chek my myspace page. i just got back from the philippines again and bought a crv there.

yeah, i stopped by one time, but nobody was home.

sorry to here what atkins did to ya man. thats crappy. you've always promoted them.
"i know how you drive?" whats that suppose to me. engines are suppose to take a decent beating.

but thing is its gonna be driving soon. got some ideas and want to drive it up here in Renton and play with it a bit.

I have raced full throttle over 2,000 miles on the same engine and never a problem except a bad alternator. I know how you drive is just bull crap.

i think that was a bs excuse. from what i read in allen's thread.. it looks like someone doesnt want to be responsible for a mistake or a warrenty.

i've known otay before he worked at atkins and still talk to him to this day. he told me the same deal bout atkins before some of the members on here had issues with an atkins built motor.

someone posted the "personal or professional" dilemma. for the shop to be professional, it shouldnt have excuses. and it is hard to not take it personal.. because these guys were friends. and to say "i know how you drive.".. that just sounds like a freaking excuse to blame someone instead of faulty work/parts. a motor is suppose to be able to handle some rough driving. wasnt atkins motors suppose to be like an upgrade right?

like i said, i've heard about it, but i always brush it off until i personally see it.
and now i seen members on here, people i've met at the izzy pizza meets, gettin bad service from established shop. it just cant be everyone.

atkins. you gotta make this right for your customers. especially the ones that have supported your business.

oh, let me add that i am kinda bias kuz Allen is my friend. I've talked to dan (guy with the RE truck right?) and he does seem kool. but if all these guys are gettin bad motors and there is a denial in claim.... well, you cant burn you own crowd. All i know is Allen was a strong supporter for them. to lose word of mouth business can have a big impact.

moral of the story: rebuild your own motors! then you only have your self to blame if it messes up!

the fc is chillin. yup, i drove it a couple months ago. but like i said, the wipers dont work...and in this weather... thats a no no. plus i cant see slap on a exhaust until i get the fuel line back to where it belongs.

i drove it to tacoma before summer. need to get a bigger radiator.

Good. maybe those guys can pay up. lucky everyone didnt follow suit. i mean everyone that has been done wrong.

Wink

seems like most of my issues that range around the car are wiring.

-gauges dont work (or maybe no hooked up)
-pass window doesnt roll down
-need new wiper motor

as i mentioned, i picked up an infiniti m30 for a 100 bucks. some small issues.. but its a running car with good motor and tranny.
i was looking for a 4 door ride and even the mazda 929 (looking for the older version 929 S) was a subject of search.. but nothing. the 929 is the cosmo in japan and it also came in 5spd (from what i understand a rx7 5spd tranny) in the S package. RWD 4 doors rule.
anyways, found a guy tryna get rid of the m30 for 300 bucks, but then dropped it to 100. hood is damaged and the digital climate controls dont work. basically those are the main issues.

since the aftermarket is next to nothing... gotta go JDM!!!

the HC 929 was the Luce in Japan, it was offered in North America from 88-91, the 5 speeds were offered with the SOHC motors, I have one, but the 929S form 90-91 was not offered wid a manual tranny. The 929 went on from 92-95 as the HD series.

RWD 4 doors do rule. Especially if they're 5 speed.

i seen your ride online. I'll have to give you freaking props man. theres a guy in seattle with an 89 929 AT for 200 bucks. water leaking from the side of the motor (i'm thinkin freeze plug).

I was looking a Q45s, 929s, and toyota cressidas. found a few, but nothing worth going after without problems. i was still thinking bout the 929 and if he has it next month, i'll pick it up. but yea i got tons of projects. atleast they all run!!!
your kar is sick man!!!

let me show some flicks in this thread.
