After moving from Federal Way to Spokane last March we thought to ourselves, well this club is sort of blaza compared to the West side, where the meetings and events are so much bigger, but I must say this group we have over here on the East side is one hell of a awesome group of people. I’ve never seen a group more family orientated as it is here. When someone is down with their car, the whole group works together in some manner, whether it is with knowledge, parts, or just being around to learn. We give special thanks to Partly Mazda “John” for all his knowledge, and all the help that he gives all of us. I’m not sure how he manages to get any sleep running around Spokane helping everyone. Not only do we have him as an asset to our club, we have so many others. “YES” even you bstrange99. So, just a Thank you to everyone in the INWR club for being who you are.

Tanks for the compliment. Everyone get ready to shake things up a bit with some unbeliveable things that will get those teckie guys to roll their eyes and scratch their heads.
They will say that "this is not right" and "it can't be done" but we got it on tape now. Also, don't forget about the INWR engine building class that we will be putting on soon. All that is left to prepping the block is to clean and paint the housings and come up with some orings and 13b 3mm apex seals. We should be able to make the formal anouncement in about a week or so.

I agree this is a great group. If it wasn't for all the above people I'd still have two 7's in the driveway that didn't run and Old red would still be a dream that might not have happend. Thank you all.

there is some laundry that I need to air. I had started this group three years ago. Our first meeting was with chris, greg, geoff, jason, and justin from wenatchee. I apologize if I mis named anyone. The original vision for the club was to be a serious (as much as we could be) organization that pulled from all walks of life. We did not want to be another ricer import club. I also wanted the club to beable to survive changes in leadership. I was expecting to run the club for the freshman year and pass the torch later. The past years have been difficult I could write pages about the problems we have had in tring to establish INWR. It seems now there is commitment now. For the past 3 years I almost had to beg people to show up, and now turn out is improved.
My problem is I do not know how I feel about this. People Have been kind enough to extend thanks and appreciation in the past. I feel like the parent who saw thier child grow up to be successful, but never writing home. I have been driving the Rx-7 for 8 years now. the engine that I have has been the same one since day one. that is one engine for two chassis. I am sad to see the engine go. I have been here a long time. Does anyone remeber the Big list? rx7@world.std.com The reason I mention this is I have been around for a while.
I feel like I am just occuping space. So what happened? Well I have a terrible case of being me. My postcount is not low, and I am sure that less than 3% is post whoring. I have tried to contribute to the group. I do not have the charisma of dave or brian, I also do not have the coolness that deena has. The funny thing is none of my posts ever took off until greg would post. I think people just wanted to see what kind of trouble he was in now.
I wanted friends out of INWR. I feel really left out. I am tired of being the nerdy kid tring to fit in. I don't hear anything about small gatherings until it is over. When Im on AIM no one promts me first. I tried real hard to get the new website up. When I asked about the media no one said a damned thing. I had to ask people by calling them. I took the site down to see how long it would take for someone to notice. The site is now back up. Not that anyone really cares.
I will conclude for now.

God this is going to be long….
Rich the club is alive. Isn’t this what you wanted in the beginning from the club that you guys started? The club has survived changes not only in leadership, but also in commitments from members. I sort of understand your problem about extended thanks and feeling like a parent at times. But in parenting you must give some freedom to let children express who they are. This club is not for just a few to decide who posts what, or what events are going to happen next. It’s a group thing.
As for your engine going out I’m very sorry, I completely understand. I think I’m on engine #3 myself. So with that, I guess you will be attending Johns engine building class so you can rebuild her again. Problem being you don’t ask for help so how is anyone suppose to know you need help??
Rich you’re a valuable member to the club and you have contributed to the club a hell of a lot more than some, but I also feel you have backed away from the club, as your heart just doesn’t seem into it as much as before. Are you on vacation? You can’t run this club by yourself Rich. It takes every member to make a club blossom. Let the club run itself with others views, new views, and old views. This is harsh but a member of the club once told me that you basically would get upset if someone would post a drive or something without your approval. You can’t do that Rich. It revolves back to letting the children having some freedom.
Sad thing is, and you can even ask Kettlman on the West side who basically does 90% of all meets drives etc. It’s a ruthless job at times with not much praise for all the hard work that’s put into meetings, drives, and events. But I’m sure kettlman would agree it’s not the personal “getting praise”, that makes him strive for more, it’s when the club gets together as a whole that gives him the greatest satisfaction.
You do have friends in the INWR club Rich, and feel left out because you are leaving yourself out. As far as small gatherings,
, if you would like me to contact you every time someone’s car breaks down, or is in need quickly of some knowledge at the last minute, then your welcome to come on over. We live in the same area Rich. Stop by on a weekend.
As for the website. I have tried to give you suggestions, praised your help with you doing the website. I have even called your cell phone and got your message with no returned call about the website. I was going to ask where to send my info on blue and IoTus so that you could add us to the members list. Yes, I did notice the website being down, but figured you were working on it. When someone gives you a suggestion, you either don’t like it, or say, “I’m trying my best”. No one says your not trying your best. We all know you do.
Come be part of us and let the past go Rich. Exciting new things in the future. We really do need you big time. Sorry if you feel un praised lately, but there has been a few members lately that have gone way beyond just a helping hand. As for aim, I would personally I’m you all the time, but not only do I have the INWR club, I also have my moderator job that keeps me very busy in the background.
So don’t feel as if your not wanted, because you are.
NOTE: This weekend our plans are to tear apart Barrett’s car to get Ashley’s car running, and on the road. Feel welcomed to stop by any time this weekend to help tear it apart with us. In fact I will make hamburgers.

Richard,
I think you're reading way too much into things that aren't happening. First off, the club is doing well, and a lot of that has to do with you blazing the trail. As you said, people used to say thank you, and express thier appreciation. I have to wonder though, how long do you expect that for? We saw you at the bbq for a few minutes, and that was great, and I understand you had to leave to go take care of an ill family. I think you're feeling left out because you're not including youself.
As far as your engine going bad, we all feel for you, and would be glad to help if you were to ask. Your schedule is such tat it doesn't really mesh with some of the other peoples, so things would have to be planned in advance. But the impression I'm getting from your post is that you think there is this huge rx7 society that you're being left out of. But to be honest with you, there really is nothing going on. when one of us goes to help someone on a car, generally other people just happen to show up. Nobody's on the phone dishing out invites to everyone but you. The only reason we don't see you on these few occasions is that you don't happen to swing by.
Don't feel left out, you're just as much a member of this club as the rest of us. But remember, most of the communication happens on this forum, so you see as much as the rest of us.

I think the club has gotten better since you resigned.
Right now the club is pretty serious with all the new people and up coming events planned. As for members from all walks of life, we have furniture movers, electricians, construction guys, mechanics and other various job titles. Some are older some are younger. Oh yeah and then there’s “Greg”. And he knows an awful lot about these cars.
Do you think maybe turn out has improved because instead of sitting in a restaurant discussing what we want do and what we should do, when nothing ever gets accomplished. Lets just go do ****. About the down falls. I would like to see that list, and see what we can build from that. Take the bads and make them the goods. So please show me pages of problems.
I feel like I am just occupying space. So what happened? You are occupying space at home, because when we have these tech days, and working on peoples cars, your no where to be found. Most of this is posted in the forum. For instance. Keith’s car, we spent a few days at brains working on Keith’s car, where were you? #2 Spokane dude needed help with his car, again Brian, John and Allan, and myself were the only ones willing to help. #3 Ashley’s car, everyone in the forum knows we have been working on it for the last week and a half. Its been posted, where are you? #4 The BBQ. You were there all of what? A half an hour?
I wanted friends out of INWR. I feel really left out. This is all one big group effort. If you don’t show up to meets drives etc, and continue to be non existent you wont make friends, cause people wont know who you are. You’re left out because you choose to be left out.
As far as the web page goes, it actually is pretty lame, its like one big page of nothing, no pic links, can’t view the vids cause there’s no links. You gotta kind of point click and guess and see what pops up. I know your trying but you wont take anyone’s input on how a web page should be built.
Now Richard, don’t take this wrong, I like you you’re a great guy, but you can’t just do everything by yourself. That’s why it’s called a club. So cry me a ****’n river!!! build a bridge and Get Hell over it!!!! And get off your ***!!!! And get more involved!!!, until then stay at home a wonder what it would be like to be part of the club.

this is funny!!!!!!
i myself know what its like to get things done. you just do it. if it doesn't turn out as planned, well you post a bunch of pics and make it sound better. then the next time it will be better. then you do it again. next thing you know, you got people comeing from all over cause they just wanna have fun. when i came to this forum, well there wasn;'t too much going on. i went to one meet and met a few people. mainly code blue's. they are go gettin fun type. like me. so we made other plans. they worked out. whether it was a drive with 3 cars or one with 50. then i decided to make a monthly meet here in oly. mainly for the oly area. well, **** happened and the first one we had over 20 people. i didn't expect that!!!!! maybe 5 to 10 tops. but everybody wants to do stuff. then between me and deena, well we started planning things. and posting on them. i gotta say you are lucky she's over there. gots to be one of the best things that happened to the rx comunity on that side. i miss them alot. they always helped with meets. made life easier. hell, not last year but the year befor at appleblossom. we were asked to try to help your club get some things going. to be hoinest, i didn't even know there was a INWR. i had to ask who you are. i thought i knew most everybody on this forum. yet we couldn't figure out how to help you get your club moving. i know we would have gave you some idea's. if you would have asked. so we worked on making the west siders a more close group. wich i believe we are. i'm sure everyone knows that i myself will go out of my way to help somebody if asked. or i can find somebody to help them. vice versa if i need help with something. yet we west siders are not part of a "club" just a bunch of enthusiests that get together and enjoy ourselves. would be kinda cool to have an "official club" name. but who needs one? we also work alot on passing the word about the forum on. that helps alot. hell, just monday i told somebody else. so with what i've seen happen on the east side , well there has been alot more closeness with the rx owners. i see new people on line from there. and a hell of alot more meets and people helping one another over there. so i would say you are lucky to have the code blue's on that side. i had a great time that weekend i went over there. and i plan on going over again a couple times next year. so take this to heart. cause i know nobody was or is trying to make you feel bad. if you want something, go take it. and don't ever expect to be praised. just the knowledge to yourself that you helped get people together to help one another is what it's all about.

My god, what have I done!
I apologize about my odd outburst. I have had a overly stressful week. Who ever said " May you live in interesting times..." We'll they should be shot.
I am sorry about acting like a whiny bitch.
And I promise not to post during a stressed indused bout of insomia.
