Import v Domestic

Hey everyone im Trevor Silva and i work out a firebird raceway in Idaho..Ive been working out there for like 6 years now and im wanting to set up an Import v Domestic Race.

Well i talked with Bill, Brad, Scott, and John New the owners of the track, about setting up an Imports running against Domestics Race...they told me that they might consider it all they have to do is get the nhra to approve and then talk with some sponsers...so i just wanted to tell you guys and girls that are interested in this event. and im gonna need your:

Name-(first and last)
Phone # (one that you can be reached)
Car # (if you got one)

Im gonna make a list of all your names and stuff and present it to them and this will ensure that there are people that want the race. so if you got any questions for me then ill answer them as best that i can...
go ahead and pm the information to me and ill make the list..the more the better.

Thanks

Trevor Silva

umm this is what we are using as basic info..since weve never done one of these then im open for suggestions..

-Stock Style Suspension (no ladder bar, back halved or tube chassis cars)
-No wheelie Bars
-No minimum/max weight restrictions
-No motor size restrictions
-Single Power adder unlimited weight and motor size (dual stages of N2O allowed as well as progressive controllers, foggers allowed, any blower size)
-Carb cars must use single carb only
-Max tire size 28X10.5, NO “W” tires allowed
-Dual power adder cars MUST weigh 3550 lbs
-Turbo size limited to 91.49 MM
-Full interior (back seats may be removed but area must be carpeted, no exposed metal)
-Heads up, .400 Pro Tree, Sportsman Ladder with a guaranteed minimum payout of $2000.00, runner up, semi finalist and top qualifier cash payouts as well

Class 2: Scandalous Drag Radial/ Entry $50.00
-Designed for TRUE street legal cars
-Stock Style Suspension
-16’, 17’ and 18’ drag radial sizes ONLY, no 15’s allowed
-No weight restrictions
-No motor size restriction
-Single and dual power adder cars (dual power adder cars must weigh 3550)
-Full interior (back seats may be removed but area must be carpeted, no exposed metal)
-Heads up, .400 Pro Tree, Sportsman Ladder with a guaranteed payout of $750.00, runner up, semi finalists and top qualifier cash payouts as well.

Class 3: Scandalous Street Wars/Entry $30.00
-Real Street racing at the track
-Run what you brung
-no restrictions whatsoever on any type of vehicles/motorcycle
-Negotiate your own race/grudge races
-No timing equipment will be running except the win light
-Race off a flag or flashlight, just like on the street
-Get spots/car lengths…Negotiate to get a head start if you can against your opponent, spotting out car with be legal in this race, wager, just like on the street

A realize some of the things like weight and such will need to be changed...

Then on top of this you can have other class's that are bracket racing classes for the other cars to compete it.

umm i would have to say that a v8 7 is still an import because of the body..its not really a biggy on whats under the hood.
