Get an FD... It's not the cheapest remedy, but it's by far the most fun! I never get ticketed. Just warned; then asked dozens of questions about the car =) Good Ol' WaSP

since time is money, speeding all the time, and only getting pulled over sometimes, is probably cheaper then going slow and wasting time??

maybe?? hmm

Some cops are cool, some are ****.

I have been pulled over quite a few times. My first time was in my Mazda 626 LX 4 door. LoL. I thought it was fast... 60 in a 40. He was nice and wrote it for 5 over. I just paid that.

My second ticket was for not signalling. I was going down the highway at 3:00 a.m. in the left lane. No other cars around, except the cop sitting on the side, that I didn't see. Anywho, sitting in the left lane (passing lane), I figured heck, why not just get in the other lane. So, I switched lanes. Didn't even think about signalling. Guess that cops night was slow, cuz he pulled me over and gave me a ticket for not signalling.
That one I tried to fight. But the judge said, "The cop is right and it isn't my place to question him." Judge took $20 off just for me showing up.

Guess it isn't too bad considering what I do get away with... LoL.

I normally drive pretty spirited. LoL. Getting on the highway at 130+. . Good times. Not usually racing anyone or anything just cuz I enjoy the speed.

Never been close to hitting anyone.

Other times I have been pulled over, once because of DUI crack down, but they just wanted to see if I had been drinking. But, who the hell drinks and drives? That is dumb. I don't even drink, but that is a personal choice.

Also got pulled over for no front license plate. This was on the way to a funneral. Cop was nice and let me off. But it was funny when I was driving by him, because he was just getting out of his car to get setup to laser people. LoL. When I was driving by, I could tell he was going to come after me, and he did.

thats how my first tickett was :P trying to get around a semi and the butthole drivers behind him that wouldnt let me in, not to mention the next lane over was a sweeper and signal truck. so i could make the exit i sped up to get in front of the semi cuz they are usually cool drivers, i get in front of him and just as i did i see a cop out of his car radaring, he pulled me over...

Ouch. I usually dont get bothered by the police at all. Although I did get pulled over the other day for having a headlight out (which has been out since Aug...). I guess when the officer checked my record he found out why the light was broken or something and let me off with a warning. Thankfully I finally have the dual headlight kit that just came out. I dont have a front plate either and it has never been an issue. I would like to install it one day, if I can find a way to mount it so that it wont block my intercooler. The police are just normal people who have to put up with everyones crap. I just try to be honest and respectful, and they usually are fairly nice.

I got nabbed yesterday getting on Hwy 410 on my way to Crystal Mtn. He got me doing 68 in a 55 (I assumed 410 was 60.) I was in a rush to meet a buddy in Bonney Lake.

Anyway, now I have to decide whether to hire a lawyer to toss it out or just pay the ticket (much cheaper.) Does anyone know if Allstate will grant forgiveness for a first-time ticket on your record?

I fight every ticket

I get a few because I drive about 40K a year. Over the three years that they stay on your record that gets reported to insurance, it can add up.

Ps If you can get the cop to wright a ticket for equipment instead of a moving violation, insurance won't care.

Just called my insurance company and they claim that unless you get in an accident or something, it's unlikely they'll order a DMV report and see your tickets. Hmm.... that doesn't sound right. I always thought they checked every time you renew your policy.

Depends on the insurance company. I had one year where I got three tickets in two months and then my policy got renewed two months later... it was the worst possible combination of tickets... but not a peep out of them. However I had no claims or accidents and no other tickets in the past couple years. This was with State Farm. They have been really good about rates for me.
