Hurray For More Problems

K not to long ago my car was awesome. The performance wasnt quite as it should have been, because my front mount intercooler wasnt hooked up to my bigger turbo. Anyway, I drove into a parking lot one day and my car started idling really shitty. First thing that came to mind was the TPS. My car also lost more performance. Whenever i came to a stop it would die. I was fed up and bought a new TPS. Today i replaced it and worked with the timing. My car still idles horribly with no settings changed on my SAFC. With settings changed to +10% in the idling RPM's for both Low and High it idles ok. I am able to drive it around and it won't die on me. Though my performance is still crappy. I changed the SAFC settings back to stock or 0% across the board my car would idle like crap again. While it was idling like crap i check my BOV. I could hear a nice vac leak coming out of it. I put my hand over it and my car started idling like a champion. Most likely the spring in the BOV is bad. Though im still worried about performance if the BOV is the problem. Im guessing if we get the vac leak out of the way then most likely to help bring back performance it's just fiddling around with the timing, right? Is there something else that might be the problem?

Take off the blow off valve and block off the space and see if that solved the problem. You will do no harm to your car and hardly anything to be worried about with your turbo. Running without a blow off valve for a few weeks or even months will have little negative impact on your turbo.

Actually the car is working fine now. My performance is back probably better. The tip of the bov was off to one side, so i had it moved back to the center again. It should be ok for now, but i might buy another. . . Not knowing if the spring is faulty still.

Thanks for you input though Quin
