Help Me!!!!
So either God hates me or he doesn't care, or he doesn't exist. So I'm driving today and going around this corner. Kinda fast but nothing crazy when out of nowhere the *** kicks out and nails the curb. Fawk I just got these rims. So the rim is pretty curbbed, but they should be able to be fixed. Well the car is wobbleing really bad! It becomes unnoticeable above 45mph. I took off the rim when i got home and noticed that the brake disk is rubbing on the calipers mount. After inspecting the axle housing realy well it looks fine, but there is absolutely no play in the tire assembly at all. So I'm thinking that the axle is bent. Hope fully the rim is not. It looks fine, but I can't tell. I need Help. I only have one jack and it's the stock one. I tried to get the brake disc off and couldn't I need someone to bring over a jack and some stands and something that will get those phillips screws off the car. If anyone can help Please call me! I don't care what time you call. This car is my daily driver and I drive about 100 miles a day with the car. I don't know what to do. Also I'll prolly need an axle for an 83 GSL. I know that's the weird rear end and I belive only 83-85 axles will work. SOme one please help and tell me exactly what axle I'll need. So I can try and get to a junk yard tomarrow.

the axles probably don't interchange between the drum and disc brake rear ends,,, some that knows feel free to clarify this. You might just have to get the whole rear end from a drum brake car for a temp fix, should be lots of those around, I hope you can find an axle though, it would be your easiest fix..
something you can do is to take the dammaged rim off the back and put it on the front and spin it to check and see if it is bent. You should be able to manage that with your jack situration.

the worst part is I feel like such a dumb ****. the rims are sooo beautiful I hope I didn't hurt it. I know of a place that can do wonders for curbed rims. I hope if it's bent they can fix it. anyone know of a place that might be able to fix it if it is bent?

just kidding, I'm willing to buy a 78-83 rx7 if anyone has one running or not! I would love to find an SA with a straight body and straight axle's, lol. that's all it has to have is a straight body okay paint and a rear end of any kind. Let me know what you all have a.s.a.p.!!!

I was wrong. My friends at the wrecking yard say 80 to 83 will interchage axle shafts,,, it dosen't matter it its disc or drum. We have them here if you can't find anything closer we can send you one.

83 = small axle, large companion flange (the "'tweener" year)
84-85 = large axle, large companion flange
The companion flange is what the drive shaft bolts to. If you have the "wrong" one, then you can swap in the other driveshaft. If your axle size doesn't change, you can use your old pumpkin in a replacement housing, regardless of the stock companion flange size. So, if you have an '83 (large companion flange but small axles) and can only find an 79-82 axle, swap out the pumpkin and you can use your stock driveshaft.
