Hey guys...

I know about nothing about helmet ratings [and since I'm cheap..]

Would this work for most Autocross events:

a Bell Moto4, on the inside it has a sticker that says Snell, with 1980 in the back ground [it's blue]

My Dad said it was pretty much top of the line when he bought it...

It will not work as most all racing organizations require a helmet of al least snell 90 or newer.
The best thing for you would be to purchace a snell 2000 from the eugene autocross club. $50 and you wont find a cheaper price anywhere.
They are dedicated to making sure everyone has a helmet.

Just FYI most clubs have loaner helmets.
