hello from Iraq!!!
what's up everybody? well it's been awhile since i've been around to check out the forum. well here's my little update...been here since september last year so almost 7 months into this extravaganza known as deployment. it's ******* hot. like really hot during the day....and really cold at night. here's an example it was 120 today...now at 1 a.m. it's 55. not that cold....it's just the extreme variation. i'm doing well for the most part. i really miss my 7.... and miss talking to you all. don't always get a chance to utilize the internet where i'm located, but when i get the time to check the forum i will do so. i'm looking to get a dd when i get back possibly a volvo i know that will make a few people happy. i decided i should stop driving my 7 from puyallup to fort lewis everyday. so if you see a good dd around let me know. i have a ton of pics if you guys wanna see them, let me know and i'll attach some to this thread later. i should be home in late august maybe early september....only time will tell on that one. and after i fix the 7 i'll show up to some meets. other than all that, everything is good, just doing the army thing until november this year. then i get out! i'm pretty happy about that, and while i was home on leave in january, i got accepted to the school i wanted in seattle area....so thats pretty much it. so please fill me in on all the fun i missed out on... have a good day everyone. Zach

Washington has now banned all performance modifications to any cars with a minimum fine for any non OEM replacement part being $1,048. Don't come back. Just claim some land over there in the dessert and build a resort. 120* sounds pretty damn awesome to me. That 55 is our high... Be thankful you're missing winter here. It's terrible.
I will scope out a Volvo for you for a DD.
Stay safe Zach, just treat the insurgents like they're after your FD. NO MERCY

thanks nytrate, i'm as safe as possible. timmy, i really hope you're joking about the performance parts thing.....please tell me you are. and yes, scope out volvos for me, looking to spend around 5000 on a dd. cuz i'll be driving from puyallup to Seattle almost everyday. and i'll have to do so in a reliable car. and since i know almost everybody on this forum has a volvo as a dd, might as well go with the flow since i'll be part of the group for awhile...lol

haha...i completely agree with the dd thing zack...i finally learned that rx7's aren't meant to be dd's....like when it died on me at the carwash...lol but yeah i just have so much to do for my 7, i'm just gonna work on it whenever i can, i need a better fuel system, front mount, clutch, air pump delete kit, either port the wastegate or get a catalytic converter back in there...oh yeah and i have to prep it for paint. i love my rx7 too much to make all of look bad by driving it around all primed for paint and ****.....thats something a honda owner would do.....zack...how are your 7's doing? tim i know yours is probablly just filling up space in the garage. you get your paint redone zack?

HA mine died as soon as i pulled off the dyno at the emissions station
It was my breaker between the battery and main fuse.
Yeah, Zach, the FD has been resting for the winter while I try to work out kinks in my R wagon. Last item left I'm hoping is the front O2 sensor. Hope to finally get to replacing that this week. Oh wait, now I need to get my driver side fog light working. It won't hold the bulb in the socket

My 7 has been running really well I just put down 317WHP on a mustang dyno about a month ago so Im pretty happy about that. I haven't painted it yet but Im taking the summer off of school and Im planning on taking that time to get it painted. So hopefully by the time you come back it will be looking good.
