Hafa Adai !!!!!!
Greetings from the island of Saipan (located 15º 12N, 145º 45E). Just thinking 'bout my 7 and all the poor Northwesterners suffering through 40 degree temps (it's 87 here today) Not much here, but the beaches and the weather are fantastic! Some gorgeous Japanese, Korean and island women here...but not one RX7. I did see a decent looking 240SX drift car though..definitely alot of Japanese influence on it. What a job...setting on the beach for 3 days and gettin paid for it. On to Korea tomorrow for 10 days then back home to good ole Seattle.

The title of your post grabbed me immediately - I used to spend my summers on Guam, where my father lived for about 20 years, working for the Air Force. I am an aviation enthusiast, and got to see daily operation of B-29, B-50, B-36 and B-47 bombers over the years. This was back in the 50s, at the height of the cold war, so the security environment was very serious and there was no tourism on the island whatsoever. During the same time period the CIA had a training facility on Saipan, which is described here:

Hey all..I'm in Korea now...and it's cold here!!!! But no snow at least. To answer your questions....
I was in Saipan to do some repair work on some of the ready reserve ships stationed there and in Guam.
I actually went to Guam first (Ben) and I use to live there too, but only for 3 years. Left there in late '89.
Took a few beach photos. Beautiful beaches, but not much else to photograph...unless you want photos of all the Korean girls standing around outside the massage parlors.
