WA is this a good trade my 93 fd for 95 240?

heres his info

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...elove/pic1.jpg
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...love/222-2.jpg
The mod list is as follows;
-RB25DET Engine There is 200k on the chasis, 50k on the engine and tranny. 40k on the rear end.
-Matching transmission out of a skyline
-HICAS (All Wheel Steer) Everything hooked up except the cord that turns it on. (it's just disconnected)
-300ZX front brakes with slotted & drilled rotors
-Skyline rear brakes with slotted & drilled rotors
-Skyline rear end, differential, and axles
-Tanabe suspension
-JDM front bumper
-VIS dual carbon fiber hood
-Motegi 17" wheels with new 215's all around
-Nismo shift ****
-Momo steering wheel
-Blitz carbon boost gauge and exhaust temperature gauge
-HKS Boost controller
-Apexi PowerFC Management
-Apexi Blow-off Valve
-T3/T4 Turbonetics upgraded rebuilt turbo
-Blitz Cold air intake
-3" Intercooler piping
-Greddy Front mount intercooler
-Blitz Nur Spec exhaust with custom downpipe & custom test-pipe
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
The car made 400WHP on only 15 psi, the car can handle up to 25 psi. If you turned it up to that the car would be making about 500WHP.
The bad:The turbo seal is out so it leaks oil from the turbo and burns lots of oil when you get on it. I contacted Alamo Turbo and it's $125 to rebuilt the turbo to fix it.
Heres mine
1993 Mazda Rx7 Touring edition Automatic. Its in great running and driving shape with only 120k on the chassis and 4k on the rebuild. The cars body is very straight with little imperfections in the paint as shown in the pics. The interior is also in great shape with the drivers seat have a little wear due to being 15 years old, no rips or tears though. The Bose Stereo rear speaker system had been removed when I bought the car. The car has a few aftermarket items such as Upgraded 99 Turbos Greddy Oil Catch Can Efini Y-Pipe Greddy Downpipe Indash Dvd Player Arc Intake and Intercooler Spirit Rx7 Steering Wheel Enkei 16 inch Wheels With BF Goodrich G-Force tires Battery Relocation behind Passenger seat R1 Front Lip kit There are probably more aftermarket items that i'am forgetting about. The RX7 is in great running and driving shape with very few imperfections on the Interior and on the Exterior. All the electronics work as they should.

Uhh...Why are you asking a bunch of random strangers if its a good deal? Can you not decide? Or are you just trying to get a bunch of people go to ape **** over the 240?

I think its a good trade, coming from both a rx7 owner and a previous S14 owner myself.

Greg if you really are lookin to offload the FD that would be a good trade. Especially if you decide you wanna sell the 240 later on it woul be much easier to offload

Ha, yea I forgot it was an auto fd, I would trade it in a heartbeat. Like Tim said, you will have a much easier time selling a 240 with a mod list like that.

I'm sorry a question like this always sounds like "Should I trade this American Grade AAA steak for that gutter hot dog?"

Damnit! I looked at the pictures after I made that last post. I helped build the car originally like 4/5 years ago . It's a good car and the guy that had the swap done didn't beat it at all. It got broken into once but he had everything repair properly. I don't know what it's doing for power now, but I know it was really taken care of and used as an easy daily driver for at least 2/3 years after it was swapped. I dunno who bought it after and what's happened to it since 2006 tho.

I would still prefer an FD though... and I'll upgrade the car to a Costco deli hotdog.

hmm that might be an ok deal... but Keep in mind the 240's value is all in its aftermarket parts, which dont allways keep there value since the 240 is sort of a "fad" right now.... Where as the FD is worth the 10K stock and has been highly sout after since it was brandnew and will probably allways be valuable.

the bad:The turbo seal is out so it leaks oil from the turbo and burns lots of oil when you get on it. I contacted Alamo Turbo and it's $125 to rebuilt the turbo to fix it.

ID be very cautious about this, and make sure it is really the turbo that is bad, and the engine, if its so cheap to repair the turbo why doesnt the owner do it himself?? maybe that engines been abused and the rings are bad....

My s-14 240 only had an sr20det in it but even if it had more power, just the "feel" of the fd is so much sportier. My sr 240 was my commuter car. just my 2 cents. in the end go with what makes you happier not what a bunch of us internet car guys think.

Drive the vehicle first and then have a shop inspect it for anything abnormal...My only thing is how well the swapped was performed and overall engine condition. Because finding parts for a RB25 will be hard...

I wouldn't, but you have to remember, pretty much everyone here
is predisposed to rotaries. Plus your trading for a Nissan, yuck....

that s14 is ugly as sin. mkay? dont do it!!! u have an fd!!! fds are amazing!!! get a different tranny!!! bam! done! no more mods nessicary! (jk mods r gewd). s14 w/ an rb25 is a car thats worth about 7k, 50k on a used motor from japan that sat on a pallat for 3 years b4 being shipped to america n ud trade ur fresh rebuilt rew for that?!?!?! my opinion is u'll be trading an awesome rare sports car for a "sport sedan" that came w/ a truck motor (thats what nissan america thought to put in it) ; sports car w/sports car motor or grociery getter w/ old busted motor n turbo. real tuff
