Going to attempt to drive home tomorrow! :-O

I was about to give up being able to drive home this holiday season, but have found a friend with an 4x4 truck that has helped me a lot! Today I went out and got my battery charged, bought a HUGE 1000 cca battery at walmart, some tow rope, and got some cable chains from schucks.

The plan for tomorrow is for me to put the chains on my rear wheels and have him drag me through the snow! lol. With any luck I will be able to pull start the car and should be able to start my trip to Yakima. I have been having a VERY hard time getting my car started with the 0 degree coolant temp (my haltechs map hasn't been tuned for that level of correction) and I am having a weird starting issue that is draining my battery and not allowing me to tune the lower degree coolant correction maps. I'm sure some new spark plugs would help also...

Once I get home (if I get home) I plan to re-wire my whole haltech install over the winter break. Should be fun. Also I bought AAA last night lol.

Anyways, wish me luck... I really feel bad putting the 7 though all this crap. A couple years ago I used to drive through snow passing SUVs like a crazy man. Maybe now that I have invested so much time and money in the beast I <3 it a little more? Is that even possible? lol.

I hope everyone else is having better luck with the snow and their car are starting great!

Talk to you soons! (I hope)

P.S. What snow tires do you guys recommend? Studded is fine for me. I seriously don't mind shelling out some $. Once the snow season is over I can use them for drift. Studded tires make cool little sparks.

Awesome! We got the car started! (not on its own will we have to pull it in the snow lol) But it is started and all is well! Might take me 6 hours to do a 3 hour drive, but I will get to Yakima today! Yay! Good to hear the old rotor pulses again.

Yay! I made it home. Just woke up from my nap lol. The trip was not as bad as it could have been. I timed it perfect, right before this storm hit and added 3 inches.

But I am here, and ready to meet up and do stuff with people. If anybody is going to be in the Yakima area for the next week or so, or renton after that, let me know! I have been geting my butt kicked by WSU this year and would love to just sit and BS about rx7s for a few hours lol.

I hope everyone else is safe, don't do anything crazy!

Glad you made it home in on piece. I also made the trip home yesterday, and i got to venture snoqualmie pass. though i didn't have my 7, had the folks' corolla instead. I managed to catch the very beginning of the storm and had some major wind gusts blowing snow all over the place. Crazy stuff.

And i know what you mean about getting kicked in the **** this last semester, hehe. Have a good break man

U 2.

Do you think if u would have had your 7 you would have made it? I would LIKE to get to sometime around new years, but I'm a little worried.

yeah the 7 would have made it. the roads themselves weren't bad at all at the time (i dunno about now), it was just there was snow blowing everywhere that made it damn near impossible to see the roads, and at times, anything else around you.
I think conditions are supposed to get better around christmas/day after christmas, but i could be mistaken.
