Give me your oppinions, good or bad.
My se wheels wer in desperate need of attention, so I gave them some (maybe too much), you be the judge.

Remember, this is just about the wheels, not the gay pinstriping.
I'm not completely sold on the red rim, so I turn to you people.

I guess I should add that I didn't just tape them off and throw some paint on. I spent 8 to 10 hours per wheel sanding off the micro grooves, and working my way up to 2000 grit, wet sanding, then a final polish with compound, so the wheels, although hard to tell in the pics, are quite polished and shiny.

I would consider red outlining to be more euro than white, alot of vw concepts have the red outlining on their rims.
Have you considered just polishing them up and maybe painting in between the spoke area black? That would turn out nice and perhaps a cleaner look.

I was going to go that route, but i figured I'd let you pioneer the easy way of sanding and polishing in that little groove around the edge, then I'll follow your method. lol. It's a real bitch to get in there.
I like the black on the inside of the spokes, not sure I am sold on the red outline, not sure what would be best, but I am sure someone could photochop the red line to other colors for you (black to match the inside of the spokes, maybe gunmetal gray, etc.?) to see.
+1 for the idea of gunmetal grey. with the red spoke. Looks good mang.

2000 grit? Damn dude my tiolet paper is more aggresive than that.
Brian, when you paint the next one red, try cutting the thickness of the red line in half or so. I think it may look a lot cleaner that way. It looks just a little too wide in the first photo.
I was just wondering if you had to use some special paint to get it to bond up on the smooth aluminum. Krylon ftw.!!

When I had them all masked off and painted, Dave (codeblue) and I both thought they looked cool black, but I'd put SO MUCH work into polishing them. I still want to try black, but on a donor set of rims. I just gotta find some.
