I know many of us have taken off emmissions, such as the rats nest and all..i was just wondering if anyone has gotten introuble for it...like while pulled over or anything..

 

25 years old is exempt man. No worries for you.

Oh, and no, they don't even bother to check. I got pulled over for no front plate on my old race car (no cats, no egr, no air pump, no charcoal chamber, all of the mods were off-road use only, 50mm ball-bearing turbo, 3" open exhaust, etc) and all I had to do was put the plate on the dashboard.

Being that they only do emissions in a handful of counties, they just don't care.

 

25 years old means it's exempt from taking emmissions tests. It's still a $20,000 fine to alter or remove any emmissions equipment from your vehicle. But to answer your question no cop has ever done a visual inspection of my car. It's illegal to remove anything, but to my knowlege we don't have any laws that enforce a visual inspection except at repair shops.

 

the only place they get you is when you go to re-license the car, and you havent passed emissions yet. Keep your cats and put them back in every 2 years :P
