FD3S Wreck at PIR Last Sunday
Anybody know the owner/driver of the red FD that crashed heavily at PIR last Sunday? Wasn't there, some friends that were told me about it. The guy was taken away in an ambulance.
They said it was an R1 with grey wheels.

Uhhoho, the rx7 club knows about me.
I was not taken away in an ambulance. Me and my passenger are fine, just a little bit of a sore neck and right arm.
That was the BMW 2002 that had the more serious accident. I was told that they were ok but needed to get checked out. Axel/tire/something failure caused the car to FLIP IN THE AIR and land on its wheels. Windshield came out in one piece.
There were 4 wrecks yesterday, it was pretty ruff. Three of them totaled, two BMWs, my FD. A red corvette kiss the same wall I did maybe 10min before. It's fixable though.
Not much of a story. It was wet. I was enter the back straight and the back end lost traction and spun the car around so quick there wasn't enough time to correct. We were going at least 70. I'm not sure if it was a bump or extra water, or something slick on the track. Either way, too much gas for the situation.
Pics incoming.

eh, my car is just twitchy, and i couldnt feel the grip at all on track. in the dry it was fine.
wet autocross is pretty much the same, but i think the lower speeds make catching the car a lot easier.
it shouldnt be nearly so bad with a clutch type diff. giken is on the list, if i can ever come up with 1300...

I'm in no rush to make decisions. If a deal on a shell lands in my lap, sounds good to me. If a nice low miles pops up... sounds good too. Also wow Lotus Elises sure have come down in price . I have 4 chumpcar races planned in the next 6 months. That should keep me busy.
