Sounds like everything is working out for you bosscobra. It sucks losing a car and is a huge pain and hassle to get another one and maybe have a whole new set of problems to deal with but hopefully you can find a good deal on a roller or a blown motor FD that you can put your motor into and have plenty of money left over to finish your swap. yea i would do the hole blown motor one, but that guy hasnt responded to any messages, i emailed him from craigslist, i left him a message on this forrum and nothing, the body on its perfect, interior looks clean, and for 6'000 with a few aftermarket goodies on the rotory that i could sell off, inlcuding the motor, id be lookin like 4,800 into it after i sold the stuff off, wich gives me a good chunk left over to build my motor and get everything to drop it in threw hinson, hell maybe even enough left over to paint the car, but he has to respond otherwise im prolly gona go with pdx's red one and just drive it till next year and take my time building my motor and stuff, i gota go look at his car today and see, sounds nice, looks clean, i just want another car soon, weather or not im gona have to build my motor for it or not, and thanks again everyone for reading this thread and providing helpfull input, apreciate it, alright im out all, see ya later

okay, the teardown begins, start things off with driver/passenger mirrors, suprisingly the passenger one didnt get fucked up, even the the rest of the passenger side did, lol so those are up for grabs, along with the hatch, glass, and r1 spoiler, all items are black, paint needs some pollishing but is not bad considering i think its the origanol paint, clear is still good, glass on the hatch has some scuff marks wear a power line droped across it, but nothin to seriouse, send me a pm with an offer for anything mentiond so far, ill get into more later to see whats good, just started tearin into it tho, anyone local is welcome to set up a time to meet me and look at anything, oh and i have a driver side front blinker and carbon sleep headlight assembly, anywho, let me know, later all

k cool thanks, like the color, but dont like the bumber or rims, and if its got a bad apex seal, i dunno, 7,900 seems a bit much, if i could find somthin like that with no motor or tranny for cheap id go that rout, but who knows, i like pdx's car, even tho its red, lol, red gets to much atention, but oh well, cops can **** off, alright all, and people need to start telling me what they want, if i get specific requests ill pull those off first, i got to send a couple pm's to people interested in the motor, turbo timer, power fc, and power stearing rack, so well see what goes threw their, but alot of other parts still need to go

Actually red DOESN'T attract as much attention as you would think! I have a VR FD and I fly under radar ALL the time! Haven't been pulled over in over a year and I fly by cops all the time at 15-20 mph OVER the speed limit at times... PLUS I am above the local limit for noise but somehow avoid that and the no front plate as well.....

I'm not shure I would consider any FD a car that does'nt grab attention. My black FD usually gets *alot* of attention. Everytime I drive it, I have people give me the thumbs up, rubber neck as they pass, or comment on the car. My car is completely stock looking except for the n1 cat back. I shure would'nt be speeding by cops 15-20mph over the limit. You're luck will run out.

If you realy want alot of attention, you should try having a wastegate that is vented to the atmosphere. Anytime you get on the throttle hard, it gets realy loud. CJ

I get attention from everyone BUT cops! It's a beautiful car! And, the times I have been pulled over for no front plate all they wanted to do was chat about the car! haha RESPECT

Yeah, as I told you, I have only gotten one ticket in 1999 (soon after I bought it) but then nothing since! The times I was pulled over, they let me off and just asked me some questions about the car. One cop didn't believe me when I told him it was a 93 and had to go check the VIN and verify against the registration lol. I think it is how much over and how you handle yourself that makes a huge difference. That last time where he verified the VIN I saw him, knew I was busted and just pulled over at the next side street so he didn't have to chase or fight traffic. It was a holiday (4 of July '03) and I knew I shouldn't have pushed the speed. I was showing a buddy of mine what turbos feel like lol. WHOOOOOSSHHH.

yea i went 6 or 7 months in the black fd without getting pulled over, everone loved the car even tho it needed work, sad part is everyone down here unless they know me or know about cars, had no clue it was a 7, you have no idea how many times i was asked, "nice car but what is that? a vette?" or what killed me one time was this retarded ricer reject asked me if it was an eagle talon, lol that pissed me off, first thing outa my mouth was dude if your gona keep insaulting me like that just leave, but i can be very honest person sometimes, i guess im just an ***, lol one good thing about them, is noone ever mistakes it for a honda, if that was the case, i prolly wouldnt own one, many of you on here prolly already know i hate hondas with a pasion, anyway, done making everone read a book, gona go feed the dog and get some more done on the teardown, later all

Well to show you how stupid some people are I have been asked if my FD was an S2000!! Domba$$ kids.... 3000GT, 300ZX, Vette, and Viper are the most common mistakes for the FD. However, prolly about 50% of people don't know what it is, 30% are mistaken, and 20% know it's an RX7....

I was thinking about you yesterday Chris, I was coming home from a class all day down by where I met you in Willsonville and anyway I get almost a mile from the exit to my house and I hear this "BBBBRRRRRRMMMMMMM" go by. lol I look over and this guy in a "Bullitt" mustang did a fly by. (sounded awesome) so I thought, ok I'll bite. I had it in fourth already and was doing about 65mph and I hit it. I reeled him in (I think he actually slowed thinkning I wasn't going to bite) then when he saw me coming up I heard him get on it so I got back on it. He was exiting where I was so I couldn't pass him and make the exit He was cool and we gave each other a thumbs up, I was late getting home or I would have shot the **** with him. Looked like he was going to the Harley shop or somthing. His car wasn't licensed so I don't know if it was brand new or not. Sounded like it had some work done to it.
