Compression check the motor most definately. The 13b-rew from the 3rd gens will fit in any gen RX-7 it just takes a little bit of time and effort (and money!). Z-Beater has a 13b-rew in his FB and there was plenty of room for it. His intercooler and radiator setup on the other hand was the tricky part.

From what I have read it is not easy or cheap.Your best bet would be to go with a 13b-re.If you are still wondering about the 13b-rew swap check out this link http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/FD3S/rew.html

it is a semi difficult and expensive swap. i have a 13 brew and multiple fc's. the forum knowlege base says that for the money, you'd be better off building up a TII motor and staying away from a 3rd gen swap. but its your life!

prolly better off selling the 3rd gen engine and buying a t2 motor and use the left over money to buy other stuff...

it sounds too good to be true, i say get it compression tested. how many miles does the 13b have on it anyway?

Tell me.... Why would he be selling the motor out of his FD in the first place??? Did he get a replacement?? Did he just take it out to fork out less cash?? But who in their right mind would take a GOOD motor out of an RX-7 when they could be driving it???? I mean depending on his reasoning for selling the engine, it could be a yes or a no...... Do yourself the favor of doing some research before you make a deal...

Maby he wants to put the H22 in his rx7 and make it front wheel drive. lol Dont do it. A compression test wont tell you everything about the motor.

it's very easy you can buy every ting you need and it will bolt right in. Key is that it will take time and lots of money to aquire everything you need.
