A few things to get tidied up on the car including; 1) getting it to pass WA smog (since I moved here from Cali), and apparently a large portion of the failure was due to a blown fuse that controls AC and air pump, now need to see why the fuse blew in the 1st place. Also had the raw fuel smell probably due to leaking injectors and/or FPD, so getting that looked at.

Also take a look at the vacuum lines since my last mechanic in Cali apparently screwed a couple of those up and finally take a look for an oil leak. Some other fun parts to be installed also hopefully.....can't let all the secrets out

Mai - it's an old first gen miata, but fun to drive since it teaches you great driving technique since it has low hp and handles great (not to mention great mileage). I will probably swing by for a couple of hours, but not be there the whole time.

Black FC

Welcome to Deadmond and Blahview. I feel your pain.

That was my FC at Jerry's. He fixed her up and she's good to go!

+1 for Jerry

BTW, who was your mechanic in Cali?

I had a local mechanic in Hermosa Beach did all basic work (clutch, shocks / springs, and the occasional plugs, etc. when I was lazy) but nothing really rotary or turbo related, and the only reason I had him do what he did was since I didn't have access to a garage most of the time (and thankfully I do now). Apparently even doing some basic work he knocked off or messed up some of the vacuum lines.

I also had it at Mazdatrix once in Signal Hill and also Rotary Reliability & Racing in Santa Ana for rotary specific work and was satisfied with their work.

I am going to bring my miata to the international meet on Sat, so will see whoever is there. Hopefully get the rx-7 back in the next week, then have some more stuff to install before the Steve Kahn visit.

Car is back from Jerry's. LOTS of work done and seems great so far. When I picked up the car he walked through all the work with pictures on his computer and provided me with the same pictures on CD of what he found taking it apart, etc. Also had all the parts he replaced in boxes to show me and ask if I wanted to keep, or throw out. Also in talking to a mechanic there and Jerry himself, he said that he did all the work on the car himself. Needless to say car is running much better..........also can't hurt to have new turbos

Jerry is the man

Jerry knows his stuff and his shop does quality work. I called him about an FC issue I was having and, before I could finish describing the problem, he had correctly diagnosed the issue over the phone. I brought the car in to confirm and repair the problem. Jerry was very patient, and waited over two weeks while I scrambled to get the parts from Canada and Florida shipped to the shop.

+1 for Jerry's Little Car shop.
