Drag/AutoX/Drift Event

Evergreen Speedway, the 21st at 2:30pm I believe. I'm doing a live video shoot of the event in my Multi-Camera Field Production class and I wanna make sure there are some fast, clean cars there.

I went there last night with some of my friends to do some auto crossing. It was raining so i insted spent my time spinning out and listining to my abs go nuts "dudududududu" wich was stilll hella fun. I even ended up in the grass. Hell yah! Nothing like mowing the lawn with your FD. lol I hope its dry next week i am going to stick with draging insted. I suck at autocrossing when its pooring down rain. aka unstylish drifting

Well, this sucks, my instructors has to have an operation today so we had to rescedule the shoot. We'll probably be doing it the 12th of next month. I'm going to be there anyways, but I won't be filming

Hopefully in the future weeks they won't focus so much on the drags for the old fogies and let the drifting take over! But, I highly doubt that will happen... It's $30 to race/drift/auto-x and you can do all 3 if you'd like, but the auto-x is with the drifting on the same track so it's not a very good track for auto-x but it's perfect for drifting it you can figure out the cones... Definitely some nice cars out there this last Friday though. Lots of smoke and the lingering smell of burnt rubber! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah there were a lot of draggers there. I particularly liked the Skyline that beat that ol' skool guy. I talked to the guy after one of his runs and he said he got the car for $500 at an auction. Lucky.

Yeah he works for a towing company and his boss told him about it... so he says... He's my friend's step dad and he usually has his old school 280z out there for the 1/8th miles but now he has a Skyline so I have plenty reason to hate him!!! lol

I messed up my motor from the first two weeks at evergreen. But i will have my new motor in by July. Quick 5,000 mile trip to break it in and than back to the track to break it again. I will prob still do some drags in it till the new motor comes in, but the high revs that come with trying to drift it the motor cant handel any more. 82k and bad orings makes for mass coolent loss.

There were a good numbver of cars out there but only one RX7 and it was an N/A FC... Last year when they had DriftFest out in Monroe there were a couple TII's and a couple N/A's but no FD's either... If mine was running I would bring it out, but it's still down so I'm SOL for now.....
