Boosted7 is talking about shutting down the lounge for a while to clear out the riff raff. I know some of us in here tend to get off topic occasionaly, myself included, but it's all in fun, and we don't get too out of hand. I think closing the lounge would create an influx of IDIOTS in the other sections. Some guy posted a pic of a turd in a bowl today for christ sakes! I hope it doesn't happen. I think the lounge keeps these people contained pretty well.

I hope he does....Theres way too much bullshit in there. The Supra forums did something similiar; only members with a certain amount of posts were able to access the lounge which got rid of all the retarded newbie posts.....

Idiots from the lounge already have been drifting into other sections more and more with the same attitude/mentality they use in the lounge. Then they get confused why their posts get deleted in the tech sections.

Not only that but almost none of the rules are followed in the lounge, and it's starting to spill over everywhere else. I mean, in all honesty, how many people on this forum even follow the rules anymore? Almost every sig I see in the 3rd gen section, for example, are longer, larger in file size, or larger in pic size then the rules state is allowed but none of those mods seem to care. Another example is that lounge rats seem to start fights in non-lounge sections in the same way they do in the lounge and it just creates flaming.

I think it'd be a good idea for Ryan to shut the lounge down for a few months to get some of the people out of here. Sure there might be a big influx of idiots into the other sections for a while, but during this time I think it'd be a good idea if all the mods were told to strictly enforce all the rules and warn people, possibly banning if they don't change, for breaking any of the rules. This would weed out a lot of the idiots I think.

 

I think Bstrange is right, keep the idiots in their padded buffer forum. I don't go in there, so I don't care what they're doing in there.

I definitely don't want to see any turd pics in the tech section.

I can count my # of posts in the lounge on one hand. I just stay away, problem solved. I probably haven't posted there in over 2 and a half years. The way I get rid of the idiots in other sections is to use my "ignore list", it works quite well.

Oh, and yes, the sigs that are too big should be deleted.
