A charity Toy Run to raise toys for the Toys for Tots program. Bring your unopened, unwrapped toy and show the community we care.

Oregon State Capital, 900 Court St. NE Salem, OR 97301. 11 am December 1, 2007. Drop off toys with the Marines. Leave around 12:30, head to Spirit Mountain for Lunch Buffet, 27100 S.W. Salmon River Highway, Grand Ronde, Oregon 97347.

This is a multi forum event based on Kettlesman’s Washington Toy Run.

Please let your friends know all safe, responsible drivers are welcome. Spend the day hanging out with car enthusiasts and helping kids have a better Christmas.


This NEEDS to be a safe and responsible event, please only come if you can act responsible. We plan to notify local law enforcement agencies of route and times to keep us under control for a change, including me.

i would agree somewhere in wa would be nice. however vancover wa doesnt count. lol jk. i heard that the puget sound mini club does this but they dont advertise it on forums like this

 

It is typically held by RSNW(Rotary Speed Northwest). Kettleman puts the entire event together. I talked to Allan recently and he still has something planned. Last year there were about 300 cars. Great event with a great cause.

 

Went up there last year and it was a blast.

Been working on this some more. The Toys for Tots people will be sending some Marines to collect the toys and they will have some Toy for Tots Poster, pins, etc. to give out to anyone who wants some. Pickup is at the State Capital. I have signed a “contract” to reserve the drive through for the Marines.

Spirit Mountain is giving us some special parking in the Brown Lot (“West bound directions Hwy 18 take exit onto Casino property. Take first right after the under underpass. Up ramp turn into second parking lot on the right (Brown lot). There will be an area marked off for you.). They will provide shuttle service and their outside vehicle for assistance if needed.

No Salem Dare Police car due to budget stuff, but I tried.

SPACE WRANGLER is setting a meet in Wilsonville for the drive down to Salem, here is what he posted.

One week guys. Weather looks like it will corporate. I got this from Spirit Mountain last week, they are ready for us.

You will be stopping by my casino for lunch. I have been asked to make some directional signs for your crew. Do you have a logo you could send me that I could include on these signs to make them more personal?”
