The death of mark niver Sunday at PIR.

Is it just me or is this the most strange crash you ever saw? The net at the end of the track is ment to stop cars.. But are they a bad idea for super dragsters? Maybe a Wing grabber would be a better idea. All i can say is i watched the video and i dont understand how he could have died, The engine is behind him and he didnt hit the net hard.. I seen cars crash at 300mph and the guy survives... Mark slowed the car down quite a bit before he hit the net..

Oh. Yes... that is very sad news indeed however.

Hopefully his family and friends are coping well enough.

My thoughts go out to you all.

I'll never feel sorry for someone who dies while racing.

That has to be the best death you could ask for (if you were to choose your own death)

he died doing what he loved, with friends & family near.

This man went out on top, feel sorry for the loss of a community member, but admire his life.

Peace out bro, you were luckier than most.

hope your family & friends feel the same way.

yeah sad to hear. ya i watched the video too, makes me think they might want to look into redesigning that metal net thing to obsorb the impact slower or something to prevent something liek that happening in the future.

sad but I agree with prometheus, He went out doing what he loved, and now he's forever in racing history. He went out with a bang, set a record and all. and 60 is a older age. I'm trying to go out before I hit 50. No colonostopy (sp?) for me.
