Craigslist find......15K SA.....
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2008519435.html
I'm selling a mint condition a bronze/light brown 1979 RX7 5-Speed with Hashino Racing 3 piece wheels for $15,000. It has been stored for 30 years in the garage. It's only has 17,000 miles. This may be one of the first RX7's ever to be sold in the U.S. (I say this because I bought this car through the 1st shipments that came into Seattle)
If you are interested please call me at (206) 805-9811. If I don't pick up please leave me a message. DO NOT email me. I will not reply to your emails. Phone calls only.

That's pretty rare. It's all original, with original owner. A collector's item. I donno if it's 15 grand rare, but I'm sure it's worth a lot to someone.
As long as it hasn't been just flat out stored for 30 years. I hope he had the common sense to drive it once in a while, and change fluids, etc.

How much is that in today's money?
Some would consider it a classic car, which means at some point the price would start going up again, depending on whether or not it's something people would want for their classic car collection.

Ok, so pretty close.
Although the car is not fresh from the factory. It's 30 years old, low miles or not, unless it was stored in a vacuum or something.
All the rubber components are likely dried up, and who knows what's growing in the fuel tank. Also value-wise, as far as features, options, performance, and comfort go it doesn't actually compare to modern equivalents.
On the other hand, unlike modern $15000 cars that roll off the factory, this one is very, very rare. There are probably not many of those left in the world, so it gets bonus points.
It'll be interesting to see how much he actually sells it for. I doubt he'll sell it for $15000, but he might sell it for $10000. He should auction it off instead. He might get more for it than on Craigslist.

I have a 79 lol and I wouldn't sell my little SA for under 10,000. I am the second owner, and my car was also one of the first to come off the boat in Seattle. Not too many stock parts remaining on the car.
