This is exactly why I'm glad to be in the West Virginia of Japan. As long as there aren't Americans around it's all good. The entire PacNW is thick with cops. They're like a cancer and only seem to go after easy pickings - car people. They seem to enjoy busting people coming to/from a track day at Bremerton or Pac. Raceway. Don't miss that part of the region at all. That, and the traffic.

A fabricator friend of mine did the roll cage in one of the Portland Police white Camaros a few years back. I was there when they came to pick it up and thought it was funny that they checked the wheel wells to see if we had been doing burnouts in it.
Unmarked patrol cars are nothing new, nor are the "unlikely" unmarked patrol cars. I remember back in 1986 being followed by one of those ugly 2nd gen Mustang unmarked police cars at about 1 a.m. on a back road. The bastard was talegating me, trying to get me to speed up so he could write a ticket. I eventually pulled into a parking lot to let him pass...the dick came to a complete stop, watched me for awhile, then launched his car in frustration. Then, on my way back home, I spotted him coming up behind me again, thanks to his wonky headlight I noticed before. I just kept right to the speed limit and he finally gunned it and passed me. What a jerk.

Actually, the Legacy in the pic is a Kitsap County car, and they also recently purchased an STI. So beware of the Subbies trying to get you to race in Kitsap County.

They can't try and get you o race. It's entrapment. They won't rev on you or honk or flash, because it's all entrapment. All they'll do is pull you over for breaking the law. Ha they have the same uniforms as king county. Plus the KCS on his shirt. I knew the patch on his arm looked off though. Good info Karen.
