coolant help

so last night on the way to the meet my coolant buzzer went off going around one of the clover leafs for a half a second.
didnt have any problems with it for the rest of the night till i went to leave another car meet in tacoma.
all of a sudden **** is buzzin and pissing me off coolant light is on. buzzer was intermitent though. it would go off for like a minute or two then turn off. come back on anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes later ranging from buzzing from 1 second to like three minutes. it didnt matter if i was on the gas brakes stopped or on a hill. it was completely random. when i went to check coolant this morning the **** seemed full. i added a tiny tiny bit of coolant. did the whole burp the system and everything.
answers?

The coolant level sensor is that hexagonal thing at the top center of your radiator [if it's stock]
So it doesn't have to go down very far before it goes off.

If the coolant level is consistent and the buzzer is going off randomly try replacing the sensor.. Should be pretty easy.

rip the wire off the radiator sensor, strip the wire and ground it to the chassis. it'll never go off again. sensor works on a 0-1 volt scale. if it's reading anything between there, like ground side voltage, it will stay quiet. easy fix and it works great, speaking from experience

As much as people complain about these sensors, sometimes they really do their job.
