Angry car update

ok so i got a different ecu, car started but the throttle was still showing 90% then would flood out after a min or so, and the spark pulgs looked kinda oily . then the buzzer kept coming on cause the overheat exhaust sensor is unpluged or something. can anybody tell me where the sensor is? and any ideas on the tps?

oh yeah if you dont remember, the car is a s5 TII
thanks

the heat sensor is under ur passenger seat towards the front of the seat.

ur problem sounds like the tps. do a ohm check or try another one.

Hey there.

I'm new to the area and I noticed that you are from Bellingham as well. Pard' my ignorance, but is there any place in the local area for RX-7 help? More specifically, I think my car is having carborator issues and perhaps the seals are going bad in the engine, but I'm not sure. None of the mainstream mechanic shops here are not RX-7 smart.

I'd have emailed, ya, but I'm too new :P

Ya there are none though they may say they do know, they don't. Is this a jdm swap or is it a stock s5 TII?

From all my searching, only people who are willing to even take a peek is Rod's Auto and SunRise (I think that's the name). But as for the car, I believe it's all original. It's got about 195K on it. Only parts on it that were replaced are the master cylinder, catalytic converter (before it blew--as only 4 years old), breaks and shocks.

oh, ok lol. right now i have a na harness cause this motor was in my s5 gtu but it got hit at my work so i bought a t2 shell and swaped in all my stuff. car ran fine when i was driving it around and up to the point when i pulled the motor to put it in my shell. i had a issue with my starter cable arcing on the solinoid and it fried my ecu, well i got a new ecu and the tps still read funny.

Did you use the FSM to check to make sure the ohms were within spec? Other then that the only other thing i can think of is a bad tps. I might have to come and look at your swpa because i am going to be doing the same thing shortly with the n/a wiring harness and after searching i am getting more and more confused.

yeah you can check it out for sure, i havent done the ohms test yet, im gonna pluge in a different tps and see what it reads.

using the na harness is plug and play, except for a few wires, knock senser, boost duty sensor. all you do is just splice them into the correct wire on the na harness which dont plug into anything on the turbo motor
