the car just died while doing emissions

I was doing an emmitions test today to get my new tabs. The car was running great all day! And when I was almost done with the test. The car died and I realy was not sure why because I was watching the screan and not my guages. When I tryed to restart the car it would not crank over. As I check my guages I realized it over heated. To about 108c I am still here waiting for the car to cool down. I wonder what it could be this time? I love to hate this car!

Check your tstat, check your fans, you said there were no leaks but double check your fluids, and check to see if maybe you had an air bubble in the system... I you wanna bring it by tomorrow I'll be around in the morning and early afternoon

Proof DEQ has it out for rx7's! jk. If its only overheating while your sitting still, first check your fans. and if there good, take a look at the cooling fins on the radiator. If they are beat up that could be the issue. If you drove it home without over heating your t-stat is probably good, but may as well replace it now while your working with the cooling system.

also look for white sweet smelling smoke, check your compression. rotors and housings are aluminum and don't like overheating much.
