Talking Bremerton FD: Need lots of help before I deploy!

Hey all,

I've been trying to do a full body restoration for a while now and the plan was to gut as much of the engine bay as possible as well as the interior before dropping her off to get a body kit installed and painted. I've been putz'ing around with it for a few weeks making slow and steady progress, but I recently found out that the Navy has grand plans to ship me out for a little shy of 4 months. I'd love to have her in the shop before I leave for the winter!

What I need:
-As many people with experience taking rx7's apart for the next 2-3 weekends as I can find.
-An engine lift.

What I have:
-Air tools
-A semi-respectable collection of metric tools
-Jacks and stands
-An engine stand

What I can offer: ;p
-As much beer and pizza said people can consume and safely return home.
-Eternal gratitude.

If you're interested, please reply.

Thanks for considering.

-Chris

If I had time I could swing up and yank the motor/everything under the hood in >4 hours.

Any chance you'll have any time in the next few weeks?

Durham877, that'd be great. Let me know what date and time would work for you.

Anyone else in the Seattle-Tacoma-ish area free?

Hmm. I wish you were closer to me. I have plenty of time and some good experience, but the gas would kill me though since I'm unemployed currently - hence all the time, haha.

I MIGHT be more willing to come out and help once my WRX gets out of the body shop since it gets better mileage than my 4Runner, but it depends what the bill is looking like. I will see what I can come up with, but its a long haul for sure.

I do have an engine hoist as well, but again, getting it there would be a challenge since it would have to go in my Dodge truck which is even worse mileage, haha.

Let me know. Hopefully, I'll be through most of the interior before this week is out. <crosses fingers>

Marc,

let's get a plan in effect.

I'm down to do a roadtrip & solid day worth of work.

Maybe we can start a caravan from the PDX area.
