WA Bremerton Autocross!!! Sept 1st!

Thats right everyone!

The next autocross event is September First at Bremerton Sports Car Club! Everyone is welcome to watch and if you feel up to it, RACE!!!

There will be AM and PM run groups so if your not a morning person, no problem!
You can enter your car in almost regardless of level of modification! Even if your car is bone stock with some free all season tires on it!!! Heavily modified cars- only 1 fuel type.

If you are under the age of 18, bring a consent form from your guardians! For the rest of us, just bring a valid drivers license! If you don't have a racing helmet, you can exchange your drivers license for one during your run group!

Ok, time to talk $$$. To watch the event its free, but to enter it will cost some money. Register online and make it to the event, it'd cost you $25 for 1 run group (AM or PM). If you just show up, its going to cost an additional $10 for on site registration.

<<<Link to BSCC event>>> Diretions can be found here.
<<<Link to register>>>
<<<Link to run groups>>>

Note to those of us who will be driving from I-5! Make sure to bring an additional $3 for the return trip! There is a toll on the new bridge!!!

Don't want anyone to get turned away so, If you are under 18, you must bring a parent and have them sign a waiver form at the event.

The toll is up to $4.00 now.

All the proceeds from this event will be going to Peninsula Community Health Services, so your attendence will be helping out the Kitsap Community.

Looking forward to seeing your subi out there Clayton and hopefully some 7s too.

The Suby should do quite well out there. I just hope the free tires can keep up with the car! Steph will make this event and her car is getting a new set of brakes (Hawk pads & slotted rotors) installed next Monday!

Does the event still accept a notorized minor waver? Also I noticed that the link to the waiver was dead.

Cool, glad steph will be there. The link is dead because folks need to have a parent there, insurance requirements.

Awwww, wish I could go. Went to some last year, then was disappointed this year when I went.

I raced three times last year, then came this year, and at the very first event for the year, I was told my GF can't ride with me..... bummer. Then, I didn't pass inspection because of my wheel bearings. Which, I am glad I didn't get on the track and have anything break, but it was sad.

The main thing that bothered me was that my GF couldn't ride with me. I am trying to get her into racing. She loves riding with me on the streets, and I told her I would love it if we could race as a pair. She said she wanted to ride with me to see what it was like first. Oh well. Maybe another time. Haven't been since because money won't let me get new bearings. Price of gas + school. Though, alternator just died so I got an FD alternator, and starter..... So, not going to be attending the rest of the AutoX this year. Hopefully next year! Maybe they will let my GF ride with me.

I will be bringing my friends again too. Usually when I go, I have about 8-9 people with me. Very fun.

Though, sad to say, in all my runs, I haven't yet hit a cone, but my times aren't the quickest.

Anyone considering it should go. Even just watching will make you want to race.

Uh.... Also! Don't forget to have your battery tied down, and terminals covered.... and... depending on who is inspecting the car, multiple other things. Some inspectors are more lax then others. Sometimes, you have one things slightly off, and they reject ya.

The BSCC is more relaxed than the SCCA, but they won't allow novices to drive with passengers or other novices. If you came, you might be able to find an experienced driver to let you or your GF to ride along. Michelle might be able to clarify that for you.

I'm driving as a novice in the BSCC events, but I'm driving in class for the SCCA events. Strange as it seems, I can't have a rider (other than an experience driver as an instructor) for the BSCC events, but since I'm registered in class for the SCCA events they don't seem to mind. So far, I've found that all of the rules make a lot of sense and are there for the safety and enjoyment of everyone at the site.

I hope to see more 7's out there. In years previous we represented the Rotor well, but recently it's been over-crowded with ordinary cars. I'll be bringing at least my FD, and maybe even an 8.

Depending on what the family is up to, I'd like to come out. I love driving the RX-7 on an auto-x course. Too bad I really am bad at it.

If I sell the 7 I'll have to start driving my Mazda3. Not as fun, but better than nothing.

You can count on me being there, bringing mine

Quick question, anyone have better directions to this place? Looked at the site and it wasn't all that detailed and I'd rather not get lost

What happens if you register, but once you get there your car doesn't pass inspection? Do you get your money back?

Yep. Happened to me last event...my front wheel bearings were letting go and we discovered it at tech (that was the first time in eight years of autocrossing that my car failed tech). I've got new wheel bearings now
