Yes you can swap to a single dizzy front cover but will your stock main drive pulley be compatible? I don't know. You will need to plug one of the front cover bolt holes. Compare side by side and you'll see which one.

heres how i solved my problem. i ignored the stock wires and ran a wire from the yellow green wire on the leading dizzy to the negative on the coil then ran a wire from the positive on the coil to the 12v on the ballest resistor.
It worked and had great spark. i also had spear condensors and put those on to.the points apear to be brand new so i felt them alone

if i was to put a msd box on and 2gen coil can i get rid of the ballest resistor?

after many de flooding sessions it started ran funny for a bit but started running great.i let it run for 30min or so then went to tinker with timmin a bit then the carb pooped started pouring gas out on the hot header.... ohh no i had a fire extinguisher close by. i circled the flap that gas came out what is that for.its kinda stupid i could of had a crispy rx2

fuel pump.

heres the fpr and carb what is the electric box next to my fpr? it was hooked to the trailing coil.is it choke relay dosnt apear stock as the wires are exposed?

The flap is a bowl vent. If fuel comes out of vent, the float sank, or debris is lodged in the needle, or to high of fuel pressure (holley 5-7 psi)
